Do ye think that the scripture saith in vainThe spirit thatdwelleth in us lusteth to envy
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saithGod resisteththe proudbut giveth grace unto the humble.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the deviland hewill flee from you.
Draw nigh to Godand he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse yourhandsye sinnersand purify your heartsye double minded.
Be afflictedand mournand weeplet your laughter be turnedto mourningand your joy to heaviness.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lordand he shall liftyou up.
Speak not evil one of anotherbrethren. He that speaketh evilof his brotherand judgeth his brotherspeaketh evil of thelawand judgeth the lawbut if thou judge the lawthou artnot a doer of the lawbut a judge.
There is one lawgiverwho is able to save and to destroywhoart thou that judgest another
Go to nowye that sayTo day or to morrow we will go intosuch a cityand continue there a yearand buy and sellandget gain
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what isyour lifeIt is even a vapourthat appeareth for a littletimeand then vanisheth away.
For that ye ought to sayIf the Lord willwe shall liveanddo thisor that.
