Peter Chapter 4

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh arm yourselves likewise with the same mindfor he that hathsuffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin

That he no longer should live the rest of his time in theflesh to the lusts of menbut to the will of God.

For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wroughtthe will of the Gentileswhen we walked in lasciviousness lustsexcess of winerevellingsbanquetingsand abominableidolatries

Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to thesame excess of riotspeaking evil of you

Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quickand the dead.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them thatare deadthat they might be judged according to men in thefleshbut live according to God in the spirit.

But the end of all things is at handbe ye therefore soberand watch unto prayer.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselvesfor charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

As every man hath received the gifteven so minister the sameone to anotheras good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

If any man speaklet him speak as the oracles of Godif anyman ministerlet him do it as of the ability which Godgiveththat God in all things may be glorified through JesusChristto whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever.Amen.

Belovedthink it not strange concerning the fiery trial whichis to try youas though some strange thing happened unto you

But rejoiceinasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ ssufferingsthatwhen his glory shall be revealedye may beglad also with exceeding joy.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christhappy are yeforthe spirit of glory and of God resteth upon youon their parthe is evil spoken ofbut on your part he is glorified.

But let none of you suffer as a murdereror as a thiefor asan evildoeror as a busybody in other men s matters.

Yet if any man suffer as a Christianlet him not be ashamedbut let him glorify God on this behalf.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house ofGodand if it first begin at uswhat shall the end be ofthem that obey not the gospel of God

And if the righteous scarcely be savedwhere shall theungodly and the sinner appear

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of Godcommit the keeping of their souls to him in well doingasunto a faithful Creator.
