Revelation Chapter 9

And the fifth angel soundedand I saw a star fall from heavenunto the earthand to him was given the key of the bottomlesspit.

And he opened the bottomless pitand there arose a smoke outof the pitas the smoke of a great furnaceand the sun andthe air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earthandunto them was given poweras the scorpions of the earth havepower.

And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grassof the earthneither any green thingneither any treebutonly those men which have not the seal of God in theirforeheads.

And to them it was given that they should not kill thembutthat they should be tormented five monthsand their tormentwas as the torment of a scorpionwhen he striketh a man.

And in those days shall men seek deathand shall not find it and shall desire to dieand death shall flee from them.

And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses preparedunto battleand on their heads were as it were crowns likegoldand their faces were as the faces of men.

And they had hair as the hair of womenand their teeth wereas the teeth of lions.

And they had breastplatesas it were breastplates of iron and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots ofmany horses running to battle.

And they had tails like unto scorpionsand there were stingsin their tailsand their power was to hurt men five months.

And they had a king over themwhich is the angel of thebottomless pitwhose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

One woe is pastandbeholdthere come two woes morehereafter.

And the sixth angel soundedand I heard a voice from the fourhorns of the golden altar which is before God

Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpetLoose thefour angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

And the four angels were loosedwhich were prepared for anhourand a dayand a monthand a yearfor to slay thethird part of men.

And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundredthousand thousandand I heard the number of them.

And thus I saw the horses in the visionand them that sat onthemhaving breastplates of fireand of jacinthandbrimstoneand the heads of the horses were as the heads oflionsand out of their mouths issued fire and smoke andbrimstone.

By these three was the third part of men killedby the fireand by the smokeand by the brimstonewhich issued out oftheir mouths.

For their power is in their mouthand in their tailsfortheir tails were like unto serpentsand had headsand withthem they do hurt.

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plaguesyet repented not of the works of their handsthat they shouldnot worship devilsand idols of goldand silverand brass and stoneand of woodwhich neither can seenor hearnorwalk
