Matthew Chapter 25

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virginswhich took their lampsand went forth to meet the bridegroom.

And five of them were wiseand five were foolish.

They that were foolish took their lampsand took no oil withthem

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

While the bridegroom tarriedthey all slumbered and slept.

And at midnight there was a cry madeBeholdthe bridegroomcomethgo ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins aroseand trimmed their lamps.

And the foolish said unto the wiseGive us of your oilforour lamps are gone out.

But the wise answeredsayingNot solest there be notenough for us and youbut go ye rather to them that sellandbuy for yourselves.

And while they went to buythe bridegroom cameand they thatwere ready went in with him to the marriageand the door wasshut.

Afterward came also the other virginssayingLordLordopen to us.

But he answered and saidVerily I say unto youI know younot.

Watch thereforefor ye know neither the day nor the hourwherein the Son of man cometh.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a farcountrywho called his own servantsand delivered unto themhis goods.

And unto one he gave five talentsto another twoand toanother oneto every man according to his several abilityand straightway took his journey.

Then he that had received the five talents went and tradedwith the sameand made them other five talents.

And likewise he that had received twohe also gained othertwo.

But he that had received one went and digged in the earthandhid his lord s money.

After a long time the lord of those servants comethandreckoneth with them.

And so he that had received five talents came and broughtother five talentssayingLordthou deliveredst unto mefive talentsbeholdI have gained beside them five talentsmore.

His lord said unto himWell donethou good and faithfulservantthou hast been faithful over a few thingsI willmake thee ruler over many thingsenter thou into the joy ofthy lord.

He also that had received two talents came and saidLordthou deliveredst unto me two talentsbeholdI have gainedtwo other talents beside them.

His lord said unto himWell donegood and faithful servantthou hast been faithful over a few thingsI will make theeruler over many thingsenter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Then he which had received the one talent came and saidLordI knew thee that thou art an hard manreaping where thou hastnot sownand gathering where thou hast not strawed

And I was afraidand went and hid thy talent in the earth lothere thou hast that is thine.

His lord answered and said unto himThou wicked and slothfulservantthou knewest that I reap where I sowed notandgather where I have not strawed

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to theexchangersand then at my coming I should have received mineown with usury.

Take therefore the talent from himand give it unto him whichhath ten talents.

For unto every one that hath shall be givenand he shall haveabundancebut from him that hath not shall be taken away eventhat which he hath.

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

When the Son of man shall come in his gloryand all the holyangels with himthen shall he sit upon the throne of hisglory

And before him shall be gathered all nationsand he shallseparate them one from anotheras a shepherd divideth hissheep from the goats

And he shall set the sheep on his right handbut the goats onthe left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right handComeyeblessed of my Fatherinherit the kingdom prepared for youfrom the foundation of the world

For I was an hungredand ye gave me meatI was thirstyandye gave me drinkI was a strangerand ye took me in

Nakedand ye clothed meI was sickand ye visited meI wasin prisonand ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer himsayingLordwhen saw wethee an hungredand fed theeor thirstyand gave theedrink

When saw we thee a strangerand took thee inor nakedandclothed thee

Or when saw we thee sickor in prisonand came unto thee

And the King shall answer and say unto themVerily I say untoyouInasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least ofthese my brethrenye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left handDepart frommeye cursedinto everlasting fireprepared for the deviland his angels

For I was an hungredand ye gave me no meatI was thirstyand ye gave me no drink

I was a strangerand ye took me not innakedand ye clothedme notsickand in prisonand ye visited me not.

Then shall they also answer himsayingLordwhen saw wethee an hungredor athirstor a strangeror nakedor sickor in prisonand did not minister unto thee

Then shall he answer themsayingVerily I say unto youInasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of theseye didit not to me.
