Revelation Chapter 12

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heavena woman clothedwith the sunand the moon under her feetand upon her head acrown of twelve stars

2 And she being with child criedtravailing in birthandpained to be delivered.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heavenand behold agreat red dragonhaving seven heads and ten hornsand sevencrowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heavenanddid cast them to the earthand the dragon stood before thewoman which was ready to be deliveredfor to devour her childas soon as it was born.

5 And she brought forth a man childwho was to rule all nationswith a rod of ironand her child was caught up unto Godandto his throne.

6 And the woman fled into the wildernesswhere she hath a placeprepared of Godthat they should feed her there a thousandtwo hundred and threescore days.

7 And there was war in heavenMichael and his angels foughtagainst the dragonand the dragon fought and his angels

8 And prevailed notneither was their place found any more inheaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast outthat old serpentcalledthe Deviland Satanwhich deceiveth the whole worldhe wascast out into the earthand his angels were cast out withhim.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heavenNow is comesalvationand strengthand the kingdom of our Godand thepower of his Christfor the accuser of our brethren is castdownwhich accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamband by theword of their testimonyand they loved not their lives untothe death.

12 Therefore rejoiceye heavensand ye that dwell in them. Woeto the inhabiters of the earth and of the seafor the devilis come down unto youhaving great wrathbecause he knoweththat he hath but a short time.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earthhepersecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eaglethatshe might fly into the wildernessinto her placewhere sheis nourished for a timeand timesand half a timefrom theface of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood afterthe womanthat he might cause her to be carried away of theflood.

16 And the earth helped the womanand the earth opened hermouthand swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out ofhis mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the womanand went to make warwith the remnant of her seedwhich keep the commandments ofGodand have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
