Mark Chapter 11

1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalemunto Bethphage andBethanyat the mount of Oliveshe sendeth forth two of hisdisciples

2 And saith unto themGo your way into the village over againstyouand as soon as ye be entered into itye shall find acolt tiedwhereon never man satloose himand bring him.

3 And if any man say unto youWhy do ye thissay ye that theLord hath need of himand straightway he will send himhither.

4 And they went their wayand found the colt tied by the doorwithout in a place where two ways metand they loose him.

5 And certain of them that stood there said unto themWhat doyeloosing the colt

6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commandedand theylet them go.

7 And they brought the colt to Jesusand cast their garments onhimand he sat upon him.

8 And many spread their garments in the wayand others cut downbranches off the treesand strawed them in the way.

9 And they that went beforeand they that followedcried sayingHosannaBlessed is he that cometh in the name of theLord

10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father Davidthat cometh in thename of the LordHosanna in the highest.

11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalemand into the templeandwhen he had looked round about upon all thingsand now theeventide was comehe went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

12 And on the morrowwhen they were come from Bethanyhe washungry

13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaveshe cameifhaply he might find any thing thereonand when he came to it he found nothing but leavesfor the time of figs was not yet.

14 And Jesus answered and said unto itNo man eat fruit of theehereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

15 And they come to Jerusalemand Jesus went into the temple and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple and overthrew the tables of the moneychangersand the seatsof them that sold doves

16 And would not suffer that any man should carry any vesselthrough the temple.

17 And he taughtsaying unto themIs it not writtenMy houseshall be called of all nations the house of prayerbut yehave made it a den of thieves.

18 And the scribes and chief priests heard itand sought howthey might destroy himfor they feared himbecause all thepeople was astonished at his doctrine.

19 And when even was comehe went out of the city.

20 And in the morningas they passed bythey saw the fig treedried up from the roots.

21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto himMasterbeholdthe fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.

22 And Jesus answering saith unto themHave faith in God.

23 For verily I say unto youThat whosoever shall say unto thismountainBe thou removedand be thou cast into the seaandshall not doubt in his heartbut shall believe that thosethings which he saith shall come to passhe shall havewhatsoever he saith.

24 Therefore I say unto youWhat things soever ye desirewhenye praybelieve that ye receive themand ye shall have them.

25 And when ye stand prayingforgiveif ye have ought againstanythat your Father also which is in heaven may forgive youyour trespasses.

26 But if ye do not forgiveneither will your Father which is inheaven forgive your trespasses.

27 And they come again to Jerusalemand as he was walking in thetemplethere come to him the chief priestsand the scribes and the elders

28 And say unto himBy what authority doest thou these thingsand who gave thee this authority to do these things

29 And Jesus answered and said unto themI will also ask of youone questionand answer meand I will tell you by whatauthority I do these things.

30 The baptism of Johnwas it from heavenor of menanswer me.

31 And they reasoned with themselvessayingIf we shall sayFrom heavenhe will sayWhy then did ye not believe him

32 But if we shall sayOf menthey feared the peoplefor allmen counted Johnthat he was a prophet indeed.

33 And they answered and said unto JesusWe cannot tell. AndJesus answering saith unto themNeither do I tell you by whatauthority I do these things.
