And it came to pass afterwardthat he went throughout everycity and villagepreaching and shewing the glad tidings ofthe kingdom of Godand the twelve were with him
And certain womenwhich had been healed of evil spirits andinfirmitiesMary called Magdaleneout of whom went sevendevils
And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod s stewardand Susannaandmany otherswhich ministered unto him of their substance.
And when much people were gathered togetherand were come tohim out of every cityhe spake by a parable
A sower went out to sow his seedand as he sowedsome fellby the way sideand it was trodden downand the fowls of theair devoured it.
And some fell upon a rockand as soon as it was sprung upitwithered awaybecause it lacked moisture.
And some fell among thornsand the thorns sprang up with itand choked it.
And other fell on good groundand sprang upand bare fruitan hundredfold. And when he had said these thingshe cried He that hath ears to hearlet him hear.
And his disciples asked himsayingWhat might this parablebe
And he saidUnto you it is given to know the mysteries of thekingdom of Godbut to others in parablesthat seeing theymight not seeand hearing they might not understand.
Now the parable is thisThe seed is the word of God.
Those by the way side are they that hearthen cometh thedeviland taketh away the word out of their heartslest theyshould believe and be saved.
They on the rock are theywhichwhen they hearreceive theword with joyand these have no rootwhich for a whilebelieveand in time of temptation fall away.
And that which fell among thorns are theywhichwhen theyhave heardgo forthand are choked with cares and riches andpleasures of this lifeand bring no fruit to perfection.
But that on the good ground are theywhich in an honest andgood hearthaving heard the wordkeep itand bring forthfruit with patience.
No manwhen he hath lighted a candlecovereth it with avesselor putteth it under a bedbut setteth it on acandlestickthat they which enter in may see the light.
For nothing is secretthat shall not be made manifestneither any thing hidthat shall not be known and comeabroad.
Take heed therefore how ye hearfor whosoever hathto himshall be givenand whosoever hath notfrom him shall betaken even that which he seemeth to have.
Then came to him his mother and his brethrenand could notcome at him for the press.
And it was told him by certain which saidThy mother and thybrethren stand withoutdesiring to see thee.
And he answered and said unto themMy mother and my brethrenare these which hear the word of Godand do it.
Now it came to pass on a certain daythat he went into a shipwith his disciplesand he said unto themLet us go over untothe other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
But as they sailed he fell asleepand there came down a stormof wind on the lakeand they were filled with waterand werein jeopardy.
And they came to himand awoke himsayingMastermasterwe perish. Then he aroseand rebuked the wind and the ragingof the waterand they ceasedand there was a calm.
And he said unto themWhere is your faithAnd they beingafraid wonderedsaying one to anotherWhat manner of man isthisfor he commandeth even the winds and waterand theyobey him.
And they arrived at the country of the Gadareneswhich isover against Galilee.

And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on themountainand they besought him that he would suffer them toenter into them. And he suffered them.
Then went the devils out of the manand entered into theswineand the herd ran violently down a steep place into thelakeand were choked.
When they that fed them saw what was donethey fledand wentand told it in the city and in the country.
Then they went out to see what was doneand came to Jesus and found the manout of whom the devils were departed sitting at the feet of Jesusclothedand in his right mind and they were afraid.
They also which saw it told them by what means he that waspossessed of the devils was healed.
Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes roundabout besought him to depart from themfor they were takenwith great fearand he went up into the shipand returnedback again.
Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought himthat he might be with himbut Jesus sent him awaysaying

And Jesus saidSomebody hath touched mefor I perceive thatvirtue is gone out of me.
And when the woman saw that she was not hidshe cametremblingand falling down before himshe declared unto himbefore all the people for what cause she had touched himandhow she was healed immediately.

While he yet spakethere cometh one from the ruler of thesynagogue s housesaying to himThy daughter is dead trouble not the Master.
But when Jesus heard ithe answered himsayingFear not believe onlyand she shall be made whole.
