John Chapter 9

And as Jesus passed byhe saw a man which was blind from hisbirth.

And his disciples asked himsayingMasterwho did sinthismanor his parentsthat he was born blind

Jesus answeredNeither hath this man sinnednor his parentsbut that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

I must work the works of him that sent mewhile it is daythe night comethwhen no man can work.

As long as I am in the worldI am the light of the world.

When he had thus spokenhe spat on the groundand made clayof the spittleand he anointed the eyes of the blind man withthe clay

And said unto himGowash in the pool of Siloam which isby interpretationSent. He went his way thereforeandwashedand came seeing.

The neighbours thereforeand they which before had seen himthat he was blindsaidIs not this he that sat and begged

Some saidThis is heothers saidHe is like himbut hesaidI am he.

Therefore said they unto himHow were thine eyes opened

He answered and saidA man that is called Jesus made clay and anointed mine eyesand said unto meGo to the pool ofSiloamand washand I went and washedand I received sight.

Then said they unto himWhere is heHe saidI know not.

They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.

And it was the sabbath day when Jesus made the clayandopened his eyes.

Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had receivedhis sight. He said unto themHe put clay upon mine eyesandI washedand do see.

Therefore said some of the PhariseesThis man is not of God because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others saidHow can aman that is a sinner do such miraclesAnd there was adivision among them.

They say unto the blind man againWhat sayest thou of him that he hath opened thine eyesHe saidHe is a prophet.

But the Jews did not believe concerning himthat he had beenblindand received his sightuntil they called the parentsof him that had received his sight.

And they asked themsayingIs this your sonwho ye say wasborn blindhow then doth he now see

His parents answered them and saidWe know that this is oursonand that he was born blind

But by what means he now seethwe know notor who hathopened his eyeswe know nothe is of ageask himhe shallspeak for himself.

These words spake his parentsbecause they feared the Jewsfor the Jews had agreed alreadythat if any man did confessthat he was Christhe should be put out of the synagogue.

Therefore said his parentsHe is of ageask him.

Then again called they the man that was blindand said untohimGive God the praisewe know that this man is a sinner.

He answered and saidWhether he be a sinner or noI knownotone thing I knowthatwhereas I was blindnow I see.

Then said they to him againWhat did he to theehow openedhe thine eyes

He answered themI have told you alreadyand ye did nothearwherefore would ye hear it againwill ye also be hisdisciples

Then they reviled himand saidThou art his disciplebut weare Mosesdisciples.

We know that God spake unto Mosesas for this fellowwe knownot from whence he is.

The man answered and said unto themWhy herein is amarvellous thingthat ye know not from whence he isand yethe hath opened mine eyes.

Now we know that God heareth not sinnersbut if any man be aworshipper of Godand doeth his willhim he heareth.

Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened theeyes of one that was born blind.

If this man were not of Godhe could do nothing.

They answered and said unto himThou wast altogether born insinsand dost thou teach usAnd they cast him out.

Jesus heard that they had cast him outand when he had foundhimhe said unto himDost thou believe on the Son of God

He answered and saidWho is heLordthat I might believe onhim

And Jesus said unto himThou hast both seen himand it is hethat talketh with thee.

And he saidLordI believe. And he worshipped him.

And Jesus saidFor judgment I am come into this worldthatthey which see not might seeand that they which see might bemade blind.

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard thesewordsand said unto himAre we blind also

Jesus said unto themIf ye were blindye should have no sinbut now ye sayWe seetherefore your sin remaineth.
