For these are not drunkenas ye supposeseeing it is but thethird hour of the day.
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel

The sun shall be turned into darknessand the moon intobloodbefore the great and notable day of the Lord come
And it shall come to passthat whosoever shall call on thename of the Lord shall be saved.
Ye men of Israelhear these wordsJesus of Nazaretha manapproved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of youas ye yourselvesalso know
Himbeing delivered by the determinate counsel andforeknowledge of Godye have takenand by wicked hands havecrucified and slain
Whom God hath raised uphaving loosed the pains of death because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
For David speaketh concerning himI foresaw the Lord alwaysbefore my facefor he is on my right handthat I should notbe moved
Therefore did my heart rejoiceand my tongue was gladmoreover also my flesh shall rest in hope
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hellneither wilt thousuffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Thou hast made known to me the ways of lifethou shalt makeme full of joy with thy countenance.
Men and brethrenlet me freely speak unto you of thepatriarch Davidthat he is both dead and buriedand hissepulchre is with us unto this day.
Therefore being a prophetand knowing that God had sworn withan oath to himthat of the fruit of his loinsaccording tothe fleshhe would raise up Christ to sit on his throne
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christthat his soul was not left in hellneither his flesh did seecorruption.
This Jesus hath God raised upwhereof we all are witnesses.
Therefore being by the right hand of God exaltedand havingreceived of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghosthe hathshed forth thiswhich ye now see and hear.
For David is not ascended into the heavensbut he saithhimselfThe Lord said unto my LordSit thou on my righthand
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredlythat Godhath made the same Jesuswhom ye have crucifiedboth Lordand Christ.
Now when they heard thisthey were pricked in their heartand said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostlesMen andbrethrenwhat shall we do
Then Peter said unto themRepentand be baptized every oneof you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sinsand ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto youand to your childrenand to allthat are afar offeven as many as the LORD our God shallcall.
And with many other words did he testify and exhortsayingSave yourselves from this untoward generation.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptizedand thesame day there were added unto them about three thousandsouls.
And they continued stedfastly in the apostlesdoctrine andfellowshipand in breaking of breadand in prayers.
And fear came upon every souland many wonders and signs weredone by the apostles.
And all that believed were togetherand had all thingscommon
And sold their possessions and goodsand parted them to allmenas every man had need.
And theycontinuing daily with one accord in the templeandbreaking bread from house to housedid eat their meat withgladness and singleness of heart
Praising Godand having favour with all the people. And theLord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
