Hello readers and budding writers! Thanks for reading my first book of the Cressela series, Twisted. Its mainly narrated by Ruey, the main character’s (Amber's) grandfather, but if that changes it will be noted before the part continues.
If you want some insight on the story-line and characters, keep reading these notes - but no problem if you want to skip to the actual story. Any questions/requests, just comment. I love hearing any type of helpful criticism and feedback.
Amber is a fifteen-year-old girl with red/ginger hair and green eyes, who’s also an orphan. Her foster parents don’t show her much love as they should be, and neglect her quite a lot - she’s usually used as a babysitter. The only person she’s properly close to is her grandfather Ruey.
Cressela is a type of species that are similar to humans but have limitless undiscovered powers. She’s one of the last of her kind (so it would seem..) and lives in a remote part of a forest, in an old abandoned cottage. 15-year-old Amber Obscura has always been into fantasy and wished that there was more to life - majestic creatures and adventures. But when she has a horrifying encounter with an unnatural, dark powerful creature (Cressela herself), she knows that she's the only one that can get to the bottom of the case and restore balance to their species.
Only her grandfather has a small idea of where he inhabits but knows that he’s very dangerous, with his altered creatures and creations. Cressela’s species are dangerous and a potential threat, so basically, this story, in a nutshell, is about Amber and Cressela joining together as friends and defeating their mad creator and psychopathic scientist, Dr Insanis, and moving them all into a safer place where they can live peacefully and undisturbed.
This is the first of the two books that I’ve made on Cressela and Amber, so when this is finished and gets a lot of reads and votes, then I can start typing up my second, Reborn.
- There are some scary passages in this fictional story, so mature audiences are needed.
Thanks so much for your time and support to everyone who has helped me bring my characters and story to birth! Love you all!!
