Chapter one

I couldn't even move for myself, or speak. I was trapped and the only thing I was able to do was breathe. He would come in in the morning to give me food, he would also come in at, night but i didn't even get food. The only thing i ate was his leftovers. I was just skin and bones, i don't know why he kept me anyway. I already forgot my name, I think it started with a “A” or something. I have been trapped in this place for the longest time, I haven't seen the sun. i havet seen my parents. I know there is another one here like me, i've heard his cries and the man talks about him often. For the longest time that I have been here I haven't seen the boy once. This room I'm in is tiny, it only has one window and one door. I don't know what the rest of the place looks like. “ Open the door,” the man says. It is now morning, I could tell by how the sliver of light that peaked through my small window. “Open the door or no food” he is shouting now. I wasn't even hungry anymore, I still had leftovers from last night. I couldn't say that i was not hungry at the time, so i opened the door. The man's tall body stood in front of me, I had to look up to see his face. I held out my hands bracing myself for him to drop the tray of his food on to my small hands. “I'm going to move you to another room, girl,” he said. His raspy voice gave chills up my spine. He looked at me, “Well”, he said with his hands on his hips, “do you have anything to say? His voice was growing louder as he grew impatient with this conversation. “ O….o..ok sir” I said, my voice quivering. He slightly nodded as he grabbed my arm and took me to a new room.
