She's just high

I kept hopping through the trees while tears rolled down my eyes. I could hear them catching up to me so I kept turning directions. Then I hid out of their sight and started crawling around on the mud. I was crawling for a few minutes until I was completely sore from the branches on the floor. This was like, SAS:Who dares win. But this is not about winning but instead, running away.

I want to go somewhere far far away, somewhere like a mysterious village or something. But with wifi of course. Imagine that....

I continued crawling for a few more minutes then leaned on a tree. I don’t think I’ve done that much exercise for years. I sat for a few minutes imagining my new life. I might die my hair blue, yeah. And I’ll finally break away from all the drama. I mean, how many times had I been kidnapped or in life threatening situations? I can start a new college and meet new people.

I tried to get up when I heard familiar voices calling my name. Urrgghh. Where’s my paradise?

I could hear the voices coming closer and closer so I started crawling in a different directions. After three minutes or something, I saw something standing in front of me. I looked up and realised it was Mason. “Hi.” I laughed weakly.

“We are going home.”

“No, I’m going to find a new life--”

“Skylar you’re out of your mind.” I heard Jordan say. “Let’s go.”

“No. I’m going to find a new village with wifi and I can live freely and--”

Mason pulled me up. “We’re going home. We’ve got school--”

“In two weeks. Mason, I’m going to start a brand new life--”

“Sky!” Alex rushed over to me. “We’ve been looking for you for ages. Let’s go.”

“My people are waiting for me.” I started to hop the other direction.

“Your what?”

“My people. I will go far away and live there peacefully. Play games until I pass out because no sleep.”

“Skylar you’re going crazy.” Alex said. “Let’s go now. The police haven’t come yet. They’re probably there.”

“You left them by themselves?”

“I tied them tightly and phoned the cops apparently they got the wrong address so now they’re on their way.”

“That’s good. Now let’s go. I’m fucking going to get hypothermia.” Mason wrapped my arm around his neck. He started to walk but I wouldn’t budge. “Please just co operate.”

“I am going to live with new people, start a new school--”

“We need to go--”

“No!” I tried to push him away.

“Skylar I’m going to tell your mum!” Alex threatened.

I laughed straight at her. “Yeah, I don’t give a damn!”

“She’s probably having side effects from the injection.” Jordan said.

“We need to go.” Alex lifted me up in the air.

“Alex let me go! Let me go!!!” I tried to escape but she was too strong. When you look at her, you’d think she’s an average 24 year old but really, she’s strong...scary strong....

“Skylar stop pulling my hair!”

“Let me go!!”

Then she froze. She bit her lip. “Does anyone know which way we came from?”

“I don’t know, Jordan?”

“I have no clue.....” He glared at me. “Shut up and stop screaming!”

I froze for a second. We are lost....no we aren’t.

“I’ll call the police.” Alex started to dial. Then her phone shut down. She screamed so loud, I think if you put JJ’s voice in full volume, you’d hear her voice ten times louder.

“Alex calm down. Jordan? Call the emergency services.”

“Okay.” He took out his phone and started to dial. “No signal...”

“We can go to my village--”

Alex threw me on the floor and sank down on her knees. “We can’t possibly be lost can we?”

“If you don’t mind me saying, next time can you not throw me on the ground. It’s soggy and--”

“SHUT UP!” Alex slapped me across the head. “What is wrong with you?!”

“I don’t understand, just enjoy---”

“You do understand I really want to kill you right now!” Alex shouted.

“To be honest, it’s probably my fault. I pushed her out the bushes and the girls kidnapped her.”

“Why would you do that?”

“I wasn’t just going to ditch her. I needed to know what they were on about. I’m sorry.” Jordan sat on the floor.

“We aren’t lost. We are probably just a few minutes away from the house. Let’s just keep looking and not loose any hope.” Mason said already walking away.

“I really don’t get how this place is so muddy even though there’s no sand--”

“Are you serious?” Jordan shook his head and walked away.
