Lost Realm

Prologue 1

Centuries ago, there was a realm. It was the most advanced realm in their time, an it was called the Human Realm. It was a realm that stood out the most since they had the most advanced organisms and life form that can not be found anywhere else; humans.

These humans were a happy race. They had homes, families, rights, and basically everything and anything you need to survive.

Then there was this one scientist, named Gilbert Shnogg, who created an elixir that's can give you the power of any chosen supernatural being. He introduced it to his peers and quickly became famous, both him and the elixir. When the leaders of the supernaturals heard of this, they were outraged. No one was supposed to posses these powers except the proper species. If everyone were to drink that elixir, and become a supernatural, it could throw off the balance of supernatural and humans, and cause wars.

But they decided to leave them be, and see how it would play out. (A pretty stupid move, I'd say, considering what was going to happen next.)

But the elixir became more and more popular, as more and more people drank the elixir and became supernatural at will. Soon enough, little battles and mini wars started to break out, whether it was human versus supernatural or human versus human. Soon after those wars and battles, a new war came to be, this time, all of humanity against supernatural.

So the supernatural leader devised a plan for the war and to stop the elixir from spreading  and went to work.

First, they appointed a leader to lead them in the war. His name was Avis Shumanni. He was unlike any supernatural being. He had the power to persuade and rally every known being and organism to do his bidding.

And so the war began. Humans against supernatural, bloodshed on top of bloodshed, agony and despair raining across both sides. Finally, after a hundred years of war, supernatural won and the Human race was wiped out. Gone, never to be seen again.

Until…..

Hawkebat: Playing both Kotor I & II and Swtor I found the story line interesting and it held me until chapter 35 Very good story and plot flow until then, very few technical errors. I felt that the main character was a bit under and over powered, as it fought for balance. The last few chapters felt too f...

Charlie_8472: Recommended to me by a friend, I thought I'd give this a read. As a hobbyist blacksmith, the blurb certainly caught my attention. I found the sentence about them drinking, dancing and fighting a strange combination of activities, perhaps a reflection of the writer’s personality and humour. Howeve...

Talon Richey: The answer to that question is NO! I absolutely loved the book, it has a way of lifting the magic right of the page and into the imagination. dd1226: I love reading about other countries and I think this story about Cambodia after Polpot creates awareness of the tragedy that happened there and the actions of the U.N. to hold elections. The heroine of the story is easy to relate to, a modern, middleaged woman looking for an adventure, wanting t...

Dinzy: I enjoyed this one and it made me wonder. What do you think about writing a sequel to this one. But the sequel could be called The Girlfriend Games. Just a thought. All in all it was entertaining.

Jasmine Chow: As I read this story, I was reminded some what of Terry Pratchett, especially some descriptions of politics and economics. The sci-fic setting is quite intriguing. Writing style is quite lovely and grew on me slowly. I was also slightly reminded of Mark Twain, especially his book A Connecticut Ya...

ianwatson: The comedy is original and genuinely funny, I have laughed out loud many times reading this book. But the story and the plot are also really engaging. The opening two or three chapters seem quite character-dense but they all soon come to life and there is no padding, filling or wasted time readin...

JulieJeanette: I'm only on chapter nine, but so far I am loving this story!. I am on pins and needles hoping that they find good men in their lives by the end. I am American and so the British tone and lingo ('knickers,' 'sod it' ) of the book is very appealing. I had to find out how much '12 stone' was by goog...
