Liberation: Finding and Creating Community

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

“Liberation” is the memoir of a very precocious and ambitious young man who moved across the country to find and establish community; the memoir takes you through the journey’s highs and lows with dialogue and exposition. Readers will leave “Liberation” with a deep understanding of how one can restore their spirit with a little faith and risk if they--” dream big and fight hard for it”. Through writing “Liberation” the author grew comfortable being transparent with others about his plans and ideas for his life without fearing the loss of his self-agency. The emotional support from some family members while writing the memoir granted the author courage to continue his path of freeing and following himself. The author also learned the importance of failure; it was in his darkest hour when he began to self-correct from striving towards projected perfection to please others and accept his true imperfect vision for his life--a vision of community and achievement. It takes a village to raise a child even if the village fails you--you must continue the work of building and creating a community for yourself.

Source: A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"

“You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the World. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t feel unsure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone.”

“As we let our own Light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
