I had walked upon this empty road for a while now, my friend beside me whilst we both watch as others that joined skipped with crackish joy. We were the only ones in silence admiring the stars above and the fields around us leading onto the village beyond our reach as the only light source seemed to be the lamppost lighting up in a dim manner whilst brittle wind brushed against us both, myself letting out a squeak; causing him to laugh heartedly leaving my cheeks blind a pink blush as I giggled in the slightest afterward.

Sooner or later, us both caught up with the others from behind hearing them chatter along as eyesight locked between us both receiving and giving back warming smiles enough to depict a wanted bond between friendships; or possibly more. Iโ€™d fidget within the sleeve of my jacket accompanied with a sniffle glancing quickly upon their reflection which was left blurred, only their softened hair coloured a crimson black remained..i canโ€™t depict their exact style..at all, well at least not anymore at least.

The blurred boyโ€™s reaction layed off a subtle raise of a structured hand enough to be wanting to hold so much, leaving me in a confused manner doing the same before leaving off a panicked expression as he clasped his hand against mine leaning it downward with a softened swing, causing me to hesitantly look towards the side as he looked forward; still in acute silence. Still admiring. Still wondering. My heart raced in an uneven pattern whilst my breath hitched in the slightest; Iโ€™m glad it wasnโ€™t heard at all.

unless..

Our close destination of a dim lamppost came clear but all of a sudden I was halted by one of their hands at a confusing rate leaving the others to wonder off, in my clumsiness I try to reach out in hurry yet I was just pulled back. Facing him. Yet his face still lay a blur, but I can still depict a soft expression glancing at my complexion of somewhat beauty apparently. I was told to stay put, leaving me confused in somewhat matter..why?

The hand once holding mine had lifted to glide against my burning cheek rubbing it with a thumb ever so calmly beginning to breath quicker than before; pretty sure he could tell but..Iโ€™m pretty sure itโ€™s the same matter for them. I was correct. He held a finger in signs to hold on as the boy stepped back biting the tip of that finger, worrying me in the slightest as I witnessed light burning cheeks coming from him making my eyes blurb out in surprise, causing me to step forward in response of one of those โ€œyou donโ€™t have to push yourselfโ€ looks. He saw, leaving himself calm and collected (obviously his hidden demeanour) before wrapping his arms around me to caress one hand against my hair and another against my waist right.

It felt so warm..
I hesitated. Contemplating turns of reactions. Was this real? Am I dreaming? Am I really in my original reality? No, I must not be. But it feels so real..I responded, hugging back tighter locking the interacting. Underneath a lamppost, giving us minimal warmth yet ourselves becoming the source of the warmth; we donโ€™t need no stupid light to help. Well..thatโ€™s what I think. I hope? My brain had scattered between questions and answers mixing each other as I was abruptly interrupted by a low chuckle sending shivers down my spine, looking upward meeting two glistening eyes which became diamonds underneath the moonlight and the lamp hung above us like strung up tinsel on a Christmas morning. Those words.. those words I have heard before this moment still wondered my mind.

โ€œwould you desire to date me?โ€

His head tilted to signal another walk was to be made as the blurred figures became nothing but dots, letting me squeal and hurriedly grip his hand once again hearing an ack escaping the mouth of his before we began jolting away towards the others in a hurried panic.

Still left speechless after a moment of silent affection.
