Chapter 28

“A tiger?” Plotnik raved, “A tiger got into the jail cell, ate this guy, leaving this neat little pile of bones, and then just left? Am I hearing you right?”

“Yeah, commissioner. I can’t explain it either. This bag is all that’s left of Settfour.” The police officer was still stunned.

“Well, I don’t know what to do then. This police department is falling apart lately.” Plotnik started to walk away when he saw some smoke rising from the bones in the jail cell. The smoke continued to grow until a large man, wearing a face mask and a black jumpsuit with what looked like a pink unicorn on the front. The man waved a hand at the bars of the jail, and they disappeared. He walked up to the now-shaking police officer, grabbed Settfour’s bag and disappeared in a puff of smoke. Plotnik just stood there, his mouth hanging. “Falling apart, I tell ya, falling apart…AND WHERE’S RICHARDSON?”


Paolo, now known as the Unicorn Avenger, sat with his pet tiger, Franz. He held the second unicorn horn in his hand, planning his next move.

“Franz, we have retrieved two parts of the destiny. I must become Paolo again and get the rest of the Uni-Horn©. Thanks for the help. I may need you again soon.” With that, Paolo waved his hand over Franz, and the tiger disappeared. Paolo then went back to knitting a pink cape for his costume.
