AWAKENING

''What?! What has just happened? Where am I? I don't know this city and there is nobody to even ask. The last moment that I can recollect was a falling flagstone that smashed my skull. Or I was shot? No, that is not it; I was run down by a vehicle. Oh, it doesn't matter anymore. So here I am, standing in the mist somewhere. Apparently, it's a city, as I see buildings, railroads, even cars. Weird, but I don't see people.'' These were several thoughts that swiftly ran through my head at this instant. I saw nothing, but felt the humidity, perhaps it was an early morning, since everything around has stopped its existence.

I have got nothing with myself, so that I decided to lead my way straight forward. While I have been crossing the void streets and tried to grasp where I am, suddenly I faced a signpost. Among all signs there was only one that could be seen, because all the rest were destroyed by the rust or just the paint started to decay. The city was modern, but it seemed that this signpost stood untouched since it has been placed, because I noticed a cobweb or something like this on it. I removed it and tried to read what was written there, since a fog was very thick it was complicated to read the sign. ''Uni... .'', oh. ''Universi-ty''. I knew that I am dead, so it wasn't a dream. But why such a torture has to chase me even after I passed away from the real life? Is not it the worst nightmare? I did not plead neither for Heaven or Hell, but did I deserve to study again? Life sucks even after death. ''Nothing doing'' was the phrase that I sighed out and moved in this direction.

I had a lot of questions to ask, but I did not find at least one person to inquire. Everything seemed a little bit abnormal and ridiculous at some angle, but at the same moment I was curious. So that, I, with the hope in my heart and the zeal in my eyes, marched towards unknown and mysterious. I just wanted to find a clue or at least a hint of what happened and where I appeared and with what purpose particularly I was chosen for this torment.

Finally, I reached the threshold of this enormous building, but I did not go in. I decided to wait for somebody else. ''Maybe I'm not the only lucky one here'', a drop of despair echoed in the void and misty entourage. Abruptly, I heard the rumble, clamour and noticed movement, as something launched the engine of the city and its inhabitants. I was ready to face this awakening. Since I died, I did not care much about what could happen, but with each second my heartbeat increased its pace. In the end, I have found out all that I wanted or at least all that I was allowed to know. But it took far more time than I imagined. After all it will appear that it was worth living through these years.

ashleycart2005: The grammar in the story was off... but the overall story was good, I enjoyed it very much and grasped onto every word I read. The story has a moral meaning and is very touching. I hope there is a second book from this were one can find out more about the family.

Idrill: I liked the plot and would honestly like to read the entire story as it seems to be, to me at least, a plotline that is an original approach to a hot topic among werewolves stories. The characters seem to be well written and I can see some arcs already start to be built in the first chapter that ...

jenniferdawson78: Loved it! Very well written. You should be very proud!

PurpleStar: I like how Willie is such a sweet person and that she's brave too. Snow is a cool guy. I feel lie cares for Willie even though it doesn't seem like it. I really don't like Felton he needs his but kicked badly. Keep up the great work you do! 👍🏾☺
