Chapter 1: Lynn & the Awful Boy

Hello! My name is Lynn, & I just finished my first day of school. I'm glad it's done, because my first day has been less than awesome. It's actually been horrible, & I'm 6 years old, so I know all about how horrible something can be.
First, my mom walked me into school. But then, she left! I asked her why she was leaving me, & she said that kindergarten is not a place for grown-ups. What a bunch of cookie-crumbs! Mom could have stayed.
Then Mrs. Bennington, my teacher, told us that the first thing we need to do is to color. 'Finally,' I thought, 'Something I do well.' I was just adding the green eyes on my purple monkey when I heard Mrs. Bennington say, "My dear, what on earth is that disgusting creature!" When I told her that it was my purple monkey, she said that monkeys are not purple & they do not have green eyes.
These things made my day awful, but this next thing made my first day of school horrible.
He looked like he had fell out of a car & into a dumpster, but I tried to be his friend. I asked him what his name was, & he said...
I asked him what his favorite color was, & he said...
I asked him what animal he was coloring, & he said...
And when I asked him why he didn't want to talk to me, he yelled...
"I don't ever want to talk to you ever again, Princess! Hmph."
And as he walked away, I thought that he was quite mean. I didn't know his name, but I knew exactly what he looked like. He had...
Yellow hair, & green eyes, & red tennis shoes, & a blue t-shirt. I would not forget this awful boy.
