''Every first born daughter looks like the female version of her Dad''

__

In my earliest memories I remember the times when papa would sit out in the verandah and would be talking with his friends while I sit on his lap playing with his big arms that were wrapped around my small figure, because I felt the most protected in his embrace.

It is six and half in the morning with a young girl around seventeen getting ready for her school. Her sapphire eyes slowly landed on the photo frame on nightstand.

''Good morning mom'' she greets the frame as she gently caressed the face in the frame.

''Evelyn? Are you ready dear ....breakfast is ready, come down fast if your done with your routine '' a new voice pipes up yelling from downstairs''Coming aunty Zoe'' Evelyn yells back walking to her study table and taking her backpack that was laying on the desk.

''Happy Seventeenth birthday..... to me'' she whispered as a single tear rolled down her porcelain skin. They say the first born will always look like their father but she looks like her mother which is even more heartbreaking.

Evelyn went downstairs to the big dinning hall where her nanny Zoe Martinez was setting a side of the table for her.

She looked around to see few maids and servants doing their work but her eyes searching for person she was longing for almost her entire life... her father.

''Aunty Zoe..did father not come home?'' She asked as she stood infront of her seat, the nanny who was readying the table stopped in the middle ''y-you father...uhm- I am sorry Eve but today is your mother's death anniversary...so I think went to visit her first'' ofcourse Evelyn knew that but today is the most dreaded day of her life, not only because it's her birthday but also her mother's death anniversary which is the most painful sensation one could ever go through.

Evelyn gripped the chair tightly holding her tears '' aunty ...I will leave first ...I am not hungry '' she said making her out of the mansion that far from calling home.

The elder nanny sighed defeatedly looking at the untouched food on the table '' she didn't eat today too'' she was really worried about the girl's health as she is only becoming weaker day by day and not to mention how silent she is.

Evelyn;

For seventeen years I longed for warmth in my empty heart, I was given luxury and satisfaction for my needs but nothing could replace this numbness in my aching heart. I never experienced love nor affection.

I was always bullied everyday by the students in my school; calling me a freak or a monster just because my mother died giving birth to me. Am I a monster.

My father was never there for me, he would always come home late sometimes never and today the important day in both our lives and he's with mom but what about me?.

I am not alone, I have friends but.

I have school today and can't visit mom so I have to visit her once it's gets over.

I didn't even acknowledge that I already reached my school and chauffeur was looking at with a worried look, I sigh before getting out of the car. I looked straight ahead towards my new school then nodded towards the chauffeur to leave which he did.

''Hey Eve'' my friend Sandra Rivera greeted me as my eyes dilated staring at her growing figure.

''Hello Sandra, it's good to see again '' I responded with a small smile.

''How are you feeling?'' This is another thing about her that I always find fascinating, she is not that of my friend yet she knows me the best, I smiled once again as we step entering the school grounds '' today is my birthday –'' '' then why are you sad? You should be happy !! You should celebrate your Birth!! Yahh!! Why are you dull'' Sandra said whining the last but regretted talking as I saw her face turn guilty when I said my next words '' but also my mom's death anniversary ''

''I am sorry ....I shouldn't have gone hyper too soon'' she apologized I just shook my head with my blonde too waved along with the wind '' no..no ....it's not your fault..come on let's go ...and get our schedule for the year '' I smiled as walked to office.

I hope this year will be fine.
