Once upon a time, in a Shoestore in Miami, lived an old couple, Alfred and Mary. Downstairs was where they worked and upstairs was where they lived. The upstairs of the shop had a kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a balcony. The couple was very poor and they barely earned enough money to survive. Each day they starved and had nothing to eat for three whole months!
One Sunday afternoon, a young man walked in. The couple looked up when they heard the bell. “How may I help you?” Asked Alfred. “I need sixteen pairs of shoes, please.” Said the man. Mary and Alfred were shocked. Who would need sixteen pairs of shoes? “I need the Bubbleguts brand please!” Added the strange man. The bubbleguts brand was expensive! $2.00 for one pair. The old couple were very happy. Now the couple would get $32.00! Mary happily gave the man the pairs of shoes.
Later that afternoon, The young man donated the pairs of shoes to an orphanage and the kids were very happy.
Moral: By making one happy, you can make another, too.
