- Chapter 32 | You Were In A Terrible Accident

I feel drained and my body aches everywhere.

I can faintly hear voices, but I don’t know what they are saying.

Slowly I open my eyes and see a white ceiling. As I’m looking around everything seems to be white.

I think I’m in a hospital, but why. I don’t remember anything. Why am I here?

“You’re awake.” Someone said as they entered the room smiling.

“What happened? Where am I? And who are you?” I asked all at once, and his smile faltered. Why can’t I remember anything?

“You were in a terrible accident which caused you to go in a coma for a few days and to have amnesia.” He said, looking at me sadly and I scrunched my eyebrows together, confused...

“Right now you are at Tembrook hospital.” He stated, taking a seat in the chair next to my hospital bed. I think he noticed how confused I looked because he then told me who he was.

“I’m Ryan, your boyfriend.” He said slightly smiling.

“What’s my name? I don’t remember and are you sure we are dating?” I asked, and he nodded at me. Is he really my boyfriend?

“Your name is Danielle Ryn Pierce, and we have been together for two years.” He said as his face lit up. I still can’t believe that he’s my boyfriend, I mean... He seems older than me.

“Okay,” I said smiling at him because he is cute, but I just don’t feel like I’d date him. Guess I’m wrong.

“Do you need anything love?” Asked Ryan, and I thought about how parched my throat felt.

“Can you get me water?” I asked, and he nodded, smiling as he stood up from the chair and leaned over me.

“Sure, I’ll be right back love,” He said kissing my forehead before he left the room.

Soon after, the door opened again, and a doctor walked in. “Hello Ms. Pierce, I’m doctor Falon,” He said walking towards me.

“Hello,” I replied quietly since my throat hurt from being so dry.

“How are you feeling?” He asked, glancing down at his clipboard.

“I’m feeling okay, my whole body hurts though, and I can’t remember anything,” I tell him, and he nods flipping up a paper on his clipboard to read something else before placing it down and giving me his full attention.

“Okay, you have amnesia because of trauma to your head, and there is a chance of it coming back. The only problem is that we don’t know when. It could take days to months to years for it to fully recover.” He said sadly.

“Okay...” I whispered, upset to hear that I may not get my memory back for a long time.

“Now, I’m going to run some tests on you and then your boyfriend can take you home.” He said smiling.

“Okay, thank you,” I replied as he started running tests on me and Ryan walked in with water.

“Hey love,” He said and kissed my head.

“I got you some water, do you want it now or later?” He asked, and I tried to scoot up more on the bed so that I could be in a sitting position but it hurt too much.

“Now please,” I said because my throat is parched and it’s starting to hurt.

“Here love,” he said helping me drink the water.

“Thank you,” I said when I was done.

“Do you know when we can leave?” Ryan asked, and I nodded.

“As soon as doctor Falon is finished running his tests he said we could go,” I said smiling because I don’t like the hospital and want to leave asap.

“I just finished, so you guys can leave if you like. Make sure you check her out at the desk first.” Dr. Falon said.

“Ok, thanks,” Ryan said, helping me sit up.

“Feel better Ms. Pierce,” Dr. Falon said as he exited the room.

“Ready to go home?” A smiling Ryan asked.

“Yea,” I said and swung my legs over the edge of the bed.

“Here let me help,” Ryan said as he came over and helped me off the bed.

“Thanks,” I replied, smiling.

“No problem love, can you walk?” He asked and I nodded.

“I’m still sore, but I can manage,” I said as I started walking.

“Okay, c’mon. Let’s get you home so that you can rest.” He said holding my hand.

“Okay,” I said looking at our hands because, for some reason, it just didn’t feel right.

After I had checked out at the front desk, he took me to his car, and it was a beauty. I wonder what his job is.

He drove to our house, well it isn’t exactly a house because it’s more like a mansion.

He parked inside the front gates and got out. I was about to open my door when he did it for me.

He helped me out of the car. “Ready, my love?” He asked.

“Is this really ours?” I asked while I was gaping at the mansion.

“Yes, like it?” He asked looking down at me since I’m so short.

“I love it.” I said smiling because I do and we went inside.

And all I can say is that the inside looked even better than the outside.

“Wow.” I mumbled.

“C’mon, let me show you our room.” He said and led me upstairs.

When we got upstairs to our room I couldn’t believe I lived here. The room was just as amazing as the rest of the house.

It was big with a king sized bed in the center, walk in closets on the right, and a large bathroom on the left with a huge bathtub.

The chandelier on the ceiling was gorgeous, along with all of the other furniture.

“Why don’t you change, you probably don’t want to be wearing the same clothes you have for the past couple days.” Ryan said and I agreed because I definitely needed to change.

“Okay.” I said and walked to the closet door.

Right when it opened, it took my breath away. There were so many clothes on either side.

One side set for me and the other for Ryan. I walked over to the area with undergarments and grabbed a pair of black panties.

Then I walked to Ryan’s side and found a t-shirt that looked really comfortable to sleep in.

I put it on and it ended just above my knees.

I walked out of the closet and saw Ryan standing near the bed with just his underwear.

“Hey,” I said as I walked to the other side of the bed and he watched me.

“Hey love, ready for bed?” He asked getting into the bed.

“Yea.” I replied and climbed in next to him.

“What do you do for a job Ryan?” I asked on my side, facing him.

“I’m a gang leader love,” he said and I gasped.

“Isn’t that dangerous?” I asked because I’d think it would be.

“It is, but you were in it too. The best fighter actually.” He said as he put an arm around me.

“I was a fighter in the gang?” I asked looking at his eyes and he nodded.

“Yes love.” he said before he leaned down and kissed me.

I kissed back, but for some reason it didn’t feel right. I didn’t feel any sparks go off at his touch, or anything really.

After the kiss I turned around to face the other way, still in his arms. “Night Ryan.”

“Goodnight my love,” he said pulling me closer.
