- Chapter 37 | I'm Going To Miss You

A N A S T A S I A

It’s been one month since Ryder said that he didn’t love me and broke my heart.

I can’t believe he lied all that time. It’s been really hard for me and I’ve been in my room crying a lot.

School just finished and I decided that I’m going to leave. So much has happened here that I want to forget. There’s just too many bad memories.

I bought a plane ticket to New York last night and I’m probably going to have to find a hotel to stay at when I get there.

Right now, I just woke up and I was feeling slightly sick. But I didn’t think much of it as I got up and started getting ready for the day when all of the sudden I felt like I had to throw up.

I ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. I’m not used to being sick since it doesn’t happen to me often, but it’s been happening pretty often lately.

I was about to clean myself up when I had to throw up again. Guess I’m not going anywhere today.

So, I grabbed a trash can and put it next to my bed as I laid down, getting into the blankets when I heard a knock on my door.

“Come in.” I said and Kai walked in.

“Are you okay Ana?” He asked, looking worried for me.

“Yea bud, I’m just feeling a little sick.” I said and my mom came in.

“Have you been throwing up?” She asked and walked up to me.

“Yea...” I said, throwing a side glance at Kai while my mom saw and nodded.

“Well you do feel a little warm.” She said while she began feeling my head.

“I’m going to get you some water and a wet towel for your head.” She said and left as I nodded.

“Are you really going to leave me?” Kai asked with his shoulders hunched over, pouting and it broke my heart to see him like that.

“Yea bud, but you can call me whenever you want and mom can take you to come visit me all of the time if you want.” I said sitting up as my nausea started to fade.

“I’m going to miss you.” He says hugging me.

“I’m going to miss you too bud.” I say, wrapping my arms around him before we both let go.

“Are you feeling any better?” My mom asks coming into my room and I nod, smiling slightly.

“Yea, actually I don’t feel very sick anymore.” I said getting up because it just went away.

“Ok, are you still going to stay home today?” She asked and I thought about it before shaking my head. There’s thing I need to do and places I need to go today before I leave.

“No, I’m going to go hang out with Brooke for a little while since I’m leaving tonight. I’ll see you guys in a bit.” I said as I got up. Mom was looking at me sadly because she didn’t want me to leave.

There was too many things here and too many reasons that make me have to go. I wish I could stay here for her, for Kai. I’m going to miss watching him grow up.

I don’t know how long I will be gone, but the looks on their faces make me believe that they feel as if they will never see me again.

I wanted them to smile, to be happy. They can do that with me gone, because all I ever do is cause trouble anyways. Right?

“Ok sweetie, we’ll be downstairs.” Mom said sighing as they left my room.

I got changed and grabbed my keys before I went downstairs. “Bye guys! See you in a bit!” I yelled as I opened the front door.

“Bye!” I heard them call out as the door closed. I won’t get to hear their voices everyday when I’m gone...

I got into my car and drove to the gang house to see Brooke. I told her about me leaving and she said that she wanted to see me before I left.

It wasn’t long before I got to the gang house and before I even opened the door myself, someone else did and engulfed me in a huge hug.

“I’m going to miss you so much girl.” She said when I hugged her back.

“I’m going to miss you too, but too much has happened here. I can’t stay.” I said letting her go and she nods, wiping away a stray tear that fell from her chocolate brown eyes.

“C’mon, let’s talk in my room.” She says as we walk inside the house, closing the door on our way up the stairs that she was currently pulling me up.

“How’ve you been girl?” I asked when we walked into her room and went to sit on her bed as she closed the door.

“Good..” She said while blush profoundly and I gasped. That only meant one thing. She was with a guy.

“Omg! Who is it?” I asked excitedly because she has never been with anyone.

“Clay...” She said smiling and I grinned so hard.

“Yay! Oh my god! You guys are perfect for each other!” I said grinning because it’s so true.

It’s about time they got together because they’ve both been in love with each other for as long as I can remember.

“I know.. How’ve you been?” She asked with a small smile, knowing what’s been happening.

“I’m okay.. I can’t believe Ryder lied to me all that time.” I said with a frown and she stood up.

“Awe babe, it’s gonna be ok.” She says hugging me and all I want to do is cry, but I won’t be weak.

It’s my fault for falling for him when I knew he was just a player. It’s all my fault...

“I’m going to leave him a note before I go, can I write it here?” I ask because I’m going to drop it off after I leave.

“Sure, here.. I’m going to go talk to Clay for a minute while you write it.” She says, opening her drawer and grabbing me a pen and paper before she stands up and leaves.

I look down at the paper and write how I feel. It took me about twenty minutes to finish writing it and I hope he reads it before I leave.

I walk downstairs and see Brooke and Clay in a heated make out session.

“Break it up love birds.” I say smirking because of their flushed faces.

“Are you leaving now?” They ask.

“Yea.” I say and hug them both. They are my best friend and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them.

I’m going to miss them so much. And I hate to admit it, but I’m jealous.

I’m jealous of their relationship. They both love each other so much, you can even see it in their eyes.

I want that. When I was with Ryder, I though that we had that but I know now that we didn’t because it was all fake. A lie.

“We’re going to miss you Ana.” Clay says when he hugs me.

“I’m going to miss you guys too, but we will always keep in touch.” I said smiling. Some people tend to drift apart when they get separated from each other, but I know that we won’t let that happen to us.

“I know.” Brooke says wiping away a tear.

“Bye, I love you guys!” I say as I start to leave.

“Bye!! We love you too!” They yell as I get into my car.

We wave goodbye and I start driving to Ryder’s house. When I get there I’m glad to see that nobody is home, so I can leave the letter.

I park in his driveway and grab his letter out of my bag before I get out of the car. Then I walk to his front door and place the letter on the mat below.

When I turn around I feel like my heart is breaking again. Shattering into even smaller pieces. When I think of him it will always feel like my heart is being pierced with a thousand bullets.

Slowly I walk back into my car and drive home to get ready for my flight...

My mom and Kai just dropped me off at the airport and I’m waiting to get on the plane.

I’m waiting to see if Ryder will come and stop me. I hope he does, but I don’t think he will. If he read the letter then maybe he will come.

I changed my phone number and got a completely new phone. Nobody knows yet because I haven’t told anyone.

I have all of my old contact numbers, but now nobody has mine. Even though it might’ve been stupid not to tell anyone, I don’t care. I need a break without thinking of this town and the things that have happened in it.

“Ma’am are you ready to board?” The attendant asked because I’m the last to board and the whole plane is waiting on me.

“Just five more minutes please.” I plead and she sighs as she grabs let’s the flight attendants know.

“Five minutes and then we have to leave whether you’re on the plane or not.” She says with a small smile.

“Thank you.” I say and look back to the entrance, wishing for a miracle. For a happy ending of my fairytale.

But this is reality, it’s not a fairytale and in reality my life doesn’t seem like it’s on the road to a happy ending.

I waited. The five minutes ended and I had to board the plane because he never came. He really faked it all, because if he didn’t... He would’ve come. He would’ve stopped me from leaving this place, leaving him.

I walked to my seat and sat next to the window, the person next to me had their stuff in the isle seat, but I think they were in the bathroom.

I put a hand on my stomach as I glanced out the window and back to my stomach.

“It’s just you and me now...” I whispered to myself as I felt someone sit near me.

I looked over my shoulder to see a really hot guy and he smiled brightly at me.

“Hey, I’m Tyler.”
