Riley’s POV –
“Tori?” I yelled, walking into her dorm.
Where is she?
Shrugging my shoulders, I sat down on her bed and pulled out my phone.
Since when did Facebook become so boring? All I see are stupid memes and horrible snapchat filters.
Deciding to stop looking at social media, I switched over to Netflix and started watching Riverdale.
Cheryl is life. If I wasn’t with Tori, I’d be trying to holler.
A few minutes into the episode, Tori walked in.
“I knew you’d be here.” She smiled, putting her bag down on her desk. “What did you do today?”
“Well I went to a few classes, and then I made Liv cry, and then we went for ice cream, and then I yelled at her in the car, and then she told me how she knew I liked to sleep in pink sprinkle boxers...” I glared at my smirking girlfriend.
“Wait, why did you make her cry?” She frowned.
Really, that’s the only thing she cares about?
“Some song came on that reminded her of Landon, and she started crying so I yelled at her for causing me to look away from the road and yeah. I’ve never yelled at her like that before.” I frowned, thinking back to it.
“Aw, babe. You have to be more careful, it’s bad enough she’s pregnant and full of raging hormones, but Landon is still a touchy subject for her. It’s going to take time for her to fully heal from losing him.” She assured, sitting beside me and leaning against me.
“I know, I know. I’ll be careful. So, about the boxers...” I began, sending a pointed look to Tori who already started giggling.
“I don’t know what you are talking about? I didn’t know you had pink sprinkle boxers.” She lied.
“Bull. You see me in them all the time!” I sighed, pulling her closer to me.
“And man are they sexy!” She laughed, getting up to get a drink, causing me to fall over since I was using her as a pillow.
“Hey, get back here! You were warm!” I pouted.
“You’re such a child.” She rolled her eyes.
“Yes, so come spank me.” I winked, turning over on my stomach and sticking my butt in the air.
“Yeah... no.” She deadpanned.
“Oh, you might want to call her for a girl session. Whenever I first saw her walking to her car, she was upset because I guess Noah kissed her or something.” I shrugged, not caring at all about her girl problems.
“He what! That pig!”
I laughed in amusement watching Tori go from happy to mad in a matter of seconds.
“I have to call her right now. I can’t believe he would even think about doing something like that, especially at a time like this! I bet Liv is freaking out over it.” She kept on ranting, and I watched her beautiful eyes, the way they crinkle when she’s mad or upset. I studied her pink lips as they frowned while she dialed Olivia’s number.
I have known Tori for a long time now, and I never knew that the person who would change my entire life, had been right in front of my face all along.
I let out a laugh at her ridiculous behavior, and said something that even I didn’t know I could say.
“I love you.”
Tori froze while holding the phone to her ear. “Y-you what?” She asked.
“You heard me babe, I love you.” I repeated, smiling from ear to ear.
“Tori slowly took the phone away from her ear and came over to sit next to me on her bed.
“Of course. I am so happy we are together Tor. You mean a lot to me.” I looked into her big beautiful brown eyes and I saw them sparkling.
“Riley...” She smiled, leaning in to give me a deep and passionate kiss.
During the kiss, I could have sworn I heard Olivia on the phone saying, “Hello? Tori?“, but I didn’t care. The only thing that mattered in that moment was Tori and I, and her kissing me.
After a few seconds, she pulled away.
“I love you too Riley.” She smiled, her eyes slowly beginning to water.
“You do?” My smile met my eyes.
“Of course!” She leaned in again and kissed me again, this time deepening it and nibbling at my bottom lip.
Feeling a certain buddy of mine make his presence, I reached over and hung up on Olivia, Tori not at all caring and then I pulled her down on top of me.
“Let me show you, how much I love you.” I whispered against her ear, causing her to bite her own lip.
“All aboard!” Tori yelled, mocking me from our time at the mall the other day. She began laughing uncontrollably as she straddled my waist and I pulled her down for a kiss, just to shut her up.
And then, nothing else mattered but her and I.
Olivia’s POV –
After being rudely hung up on by Tori, I began folding some of the baby’s clothes that I had already washed and put them away in the closet.
I took a shower myself; trying to be as fast as possible, and then I put on my comfortable yoga pants with an over-sized T-shirt. I don’t like taking long showers anymore, because that used to be Landon and I’s thing. It’s just not the same without him leaned up against me, or dancing with me to our favorite songs.
I am still upset over everything that happened with Noah, and I wish he would just get over it and be my friend. I don’t know why it’s bothering me so much. I spent years not even thinking about him, and I was perfectly fine. Why am I so worked up over this now?
I need to talk to Tori.
I wonder what she is doing.
Shrugging, I decided to make something to eat.
Walking over to the kitchen, I frowned as I saw Landon’s apron out of the corner of my eye.
I still remember the day he bought it:
“Babe, I need an apron!” Landon pouted as we left the dairy section at the store.
“Why do you need an apron?” I asked, shaking my head at his weirdness.
“Because, I am a chef. Duh. All Chefs have aprons.” He deadpanned, walking towards the end of the aisle.
“You hardly ever cook!” I laughed, following him.
“Maybe it’s because I don’t have the proper cooking attire! Ever think of that?” He rose his perfectly thick eyebrows at me, and I smiled at him, not believing what he is saying at all.
“Whatever, if you find an apron, get it. Just nothing embarrassing, please!” I yelled as he ran off in search of an apron, leaving me alone to decide on what kind of cereal to get.
After about fifteen minutes, and after I gathered everything on our grocery list, Landon finally graced me with his presence.
“Liv, I found the perfect apron!” He grinned, holding said apron behind his back. I saw a flash of blue from the corner of my eye.
“Oh man... alright right, let’s see it.” I said, turning my attention fully on Landon.
“You’re gonna love it!” He happily took the apron from behind his back and held it up high in front of his face, showing me.
I read the words, “Mr. Good Lookin’ Is Cookin’” and I face-palmed.
“Landon...” I sighed, “No!”
“Oh come on! It’s amazing! I mean, aprons never lie!” He smirked, tossing it into the grocery cart.
“You are not going to wear that every time you cook, are you?” I tried my best not to laugh, but I couldn’t contain it.
“Why of course I am! In fact-” Landon strolled up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, leaning in against my ear. “It’s the only thing I’ll wear while I’m cooking.”
My cheeks instantly turned red, and I put my hands on his chest, trying to push him away but he wouldn’t budge. “Landon! You are not going to wear only that!” I laughed some more, as he began putting little kisses against my neck.
“I sure am babe! The blue is really going to make my ass pop!” He teased, causing me to let out another loud laugh.
“Ugh, you are so annoying!” I sighed, still a smile on my face.
“But you love me for it.” He smiled.
“I do, I really do.” I smiled back, and then his lips were on mine and we kissed hard for a few minutes right in front of the pickles.
From that day on, the pickle aisle has always been my favorite.
After making up some macaroni and cheese, along with a few pizza rolls, I sighed at my horrible choice of dinner but smiled because I mean, who doesn’t love macaroni and cheese with pizza rolls?
I ate dinner while watching this new show Riverdale that Riley got me into, and I still couldn’t help but bring my mind back to Noah.
I decided to mute the TV and call him. For some reason, I just couldn’t let this go.
After a few rings, and thinking he wasn’t going to answer, the line finally picked up.
“Noah? Hey.” I simply said.
“What is it Olivia?” He slightly sighed.
Well okay then.
“I just, wanted to know how you were doing. I really didn’t mean to hurt your feelings or anything earlier; you just kind of took me by surprise.”
“I know I did, and I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that.” For some reason, he seemed preoccupied.
“Did I call at a bad time?” I asked.
“Well, kind of.” He began, and then I heard a female voice.
“Noah, hurry up.” She whined.
“Oh...” I said softly. “Sorry.”
Right before I hung up on him, I heard him say, “Olivia wait!” but I didn’t. I hung up.
He kissed me just earlier today, and already has another girl? How much of a player is he? The nerve.
Wait, why does it matter? I don’t have feelings for him so it shouldn’t bother me if he’s moved on.
Curse these damn hormones.
A few moments later, my phone rang and I saw Noah’s picture appear. I wanted to answer, but I didn’t.
Instead, I ignored his phone call, not caring about his explanation and I picked my phone up to call Tori back.
“Hello?” She said, sounding out of breath.
“Did I interrupt something?” I asked with rose eyebrows.
“Nah, we’re finished.” She said and I could tell she had a smirk on her face.
“You’re disgusting.” I glared into the air.
“You used to talk that way about you and Landon!” She defended. I frowned a little at the memories.
“Yeah, but Landon wasn’t your brother!” I challenged, a smirk falling on my face.
“So, you called earlier but hung up, why?” I asked, popping my last pizza roll into my mouth.
“Well originally I wanted to talk about what happened with you and Noah today, but then Riley decided to distract me by telling me he loves me.” She said nonchalant, as if it were no big deal.
“Awe! He said I love you?” I smiled wide.
“I sure did!” I heard Riley say in the background.
“Shush.” Tori said to Riley. “But yes, he did and well, you know what happened next.”
“Yes, please refrain from any more details!” I begged.
“Cry baby.” I heard Riley say, followed by a smack and an, “Ow!”
“So, do you want to talk about Noah?” Tori asked, and I sighed.
“Yes actually. Can you come over please?” I asked, again rolling my eyes as I heard Riley pout.
“Of course! I’ll be right there!” I heard some movement over the phone and another “Ow!” before Tori hung up the phone.
I smiled at their weird relationship, and I leaned back against my pillow.
I reached my hand over to the other side of the bed, still made up on his side.
“I miss you.”
Then, I decided to take a small nap before Tori got here.
Of course, by nap, I mean full on sleeping.
