It's been almost 3 weeks and Matt still hasn't kept his word, he's not even around to look me in the face, Glenda said he traveled somewhere.
it was my fault for actually trusting a self-contained criminal, everything was up to me now. I couldn't keep waiting on David to come save me, or for Matt to get a life and let me go. I have to save myself and fast.
I sighed and sat on the edge of the bed looking out the window for a while, I have tried escaping but Matt sure there are guards outside.
I heard a knock making me turn towards the door.
"Go away." I yelled.
The door swung open suddenly, revealing a not so familiar face, with a duffel bag in one hand.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked.
He stepped in, dropping his bag on the floor. I jumped out of bed and backed away in fear.
"I'll scream, if you don't tell me who you are?" I warned him.
"The name is Micheal and you're in my room." It suddenly hit me, he doesn't know who I am, this might be my one chance out of here.
"I'm Alison." I extended my hand to him, he just staed at it. "c'mon, I don't bite." I smiled at him,
He sighed and took it,
"And, I'm sorry about your room." I apologized, "You can have it back." I reached and fixed his shirt, " Flirting wasn't my strong suit, "Let me use your phone." I winked, If this was a movie I would probably throw a apples at the girl for being a tacky actress, that bad.
He leaned to my ear, whispering.
"Nice try, Alison. "
I scoffed, pushing away from him.
He dissolved in laughter,
"You're an ass!!" I spat and went to sit.
His laughter echoed the entire room,
"You're such a terrible flirt." He managed to say between the laughter, when he stopped and I was glad it was finally over. But then he he just rolled on the floor and continued laughing again.
"That's enough." I yelled and the laughs echoed down a little, "What do you want?" I asked.
He got up from the floor and dusted himself, "I'm Matt's friend. if I knew you were this humorous, I would have come sooner."
"In other words, you're a criminal...just what I needed." Here goes my one shot of getting out of here,
"Not my problem." He said and lazily spread himself on the floor, "But were you seriously going to seduce me to escape?"
"Fuck off." I spat.
"You've been here for how long? and you still haven't noticed the hidden cameras."
I gulped, looking out for them.
It always felt like someone was watching me.
"Perv, " I gasped.
"So, your Hertz's girl?" He scrolled over my body with his eyes, "Not bad...Funny, I didn't take him for that kind of guy."
"What kind of guy?"
"You know..." He raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'm 18, you asshole," I gritted at him. I literally just met him, but I haven't met a more irritating human being in my life.
He chuckled, "And, that makes it okay?"
"I suggest you shut your fucking trap if you don't have anything relevant to say." I snapped.
He got up and grabbed his bag, "like I said not my problem."
"Why are you here?"
"To babysit and make sure you do anything stupid like jumping out of the window." like I haven't thought of that already.
"I will be across the hall if you need me, remember I'm watching you." He said pointing at the camera.
"Creep." I spat.
He smirked and walked out the door, "It was nice meeting you, Ali, hopefully, we would have a lot of fun in here." He yelled from the other side of the door.
I groaned and threw my head back on the bed,
I had to find a way to get out before I completely lose it.
After countless attempts, I was finally able to get David on the phone.
"What?" He must be upset.
"Don't hang up, it's important." I cut in instantly, I didn't want him to drop the call, "I know where she is?"
"Natalia, I'm not in the mood for your silly games."
"I know where Alison is?" I rolled my eyes.
"I know where Alison is?"I repeated.
He line went dead for a second, "What have you done Natalia?" I had always loved it when he called my name,
No one Ever called it like he does. it flowed so smoothly in his tongue.
"Let's meet up at our usual place and I promise to tell you all about it,"I said feeling really excited I have him in the palm of my hands.
He went silent as if considering whether or not to trust me, "David?" I teased him, "If you like we can catch up from where we left off."
He sighed lightly,
"I will meet you in an hour...." he hung up.
Oh, honey! you're going to wish you didn't leave me. .
This would mark the beginning of our lives together. I laughed excitedly and went to get prepared for my date with David.
I was admiring the stunning view of the hotel, hours later.
"It's still as pleasant as I remember, we should move in here when we get married and have our little kids running around the place." I giggled at the thought.
"Enough with the games." He hurled, which was a bit shocking, the David I knew would have flipped up on me with the mere mention of our future together, he was vulnerable.
"Fine...." I swayed my way to him.
"Cheer up, babe, we have time." I could make good use of this sad David.
"What do you know?" He asked me, "Are you working for him now?"
"Easy now, hun?" I move towards the bar, "What would you like to drink? we have vodka, whiskey, champagne, beer, and water--" I snickered at the last part.
He snapped towards me and I immediately moved backward in fear. He might be sad, but that won't stop him from hurting me,
"I won't do anything stupid if I were you, remember you need me if you ever want to find her." I reminded him, "Just keep that in mind.
I poured him a glass of whiskey,
"This would help you calm down."
He sighed and took it from me,
"Tell me what I need to know.."
"Don't worry, She's fine, Matt is taking good care of her, he loves her you know."
I could feel his anger rising up,
"You are working with him?" His voice was calm,
"Let's sit." I held his hand and dragged him to the bed to sit with me, "Actually, Matt was my client, that's how we met."
"I thought you stopped?" He asked concerned.
"You stopped paying attention to me and I had bills to pay. I tried calling for help but you wouldn't answer my calls."
He reached and took my hands into his, "I'm sorry," he said, I couldn't tell if he was sincere or just playing a fast one on me.
"You promised, you would call." I reminded him, "I waited for your call every day, David...."
"I'm sorry and I promise I would make it up to you this time, Natalia." He whispered tucking a strand of my hair behind my hair, I was suddenly furious.
"You're an ass!" I pushed him off me,
He was trying to use me to get what he wants, "I hate you." I screamed at him and went to set the camera in my purse properly. "For a second I believed you had changed....So let's do it your way then."
"What do you want?" He asked almost immediately, and I couldn't be more excited he asked, this was my chance to finally nail him down to me.
I moved to the couch in the room and prawled myself on it as I watched him rick of desperation. It was nice being in control of things for once.
"I want sex in exchange for helping get Matt, I can even spy on him if want." I winked and watched him fall apart. Oh! This is going to be fun, I thought as I got up to him, he looked extremely pained now.
"Just like we used to before." I circled my hands around his neck and surprisingly he didn't stop me or move.
"Natalia, just stop this nonsense at once," he growled,
"David, I'm way hotter, way more beautiful, smarter, definitely more age-appropriate for you, then why do you still choose her?
She would despise you when she finds someone her own age. But I will always be there for you, why won't you see that, David?"
I cried for to him,
"Why can't you see that I love you, that at the end of the day, it all lead back here, to this room, to us." He clenched his jaw tightly, and that was when I knew I got him.
I got tired of staying inside the room, so I stepped out. I had access to every part of the house, for a hostage I was pretty much free to do anything I wanted, as long as it didn't involve escaping.
I was crossing the hallway when I heard voices coming from Micheal's room, eavesdropping wasn't exactly my thing, but they made everything my thing when they forcefully brought me here, so I didn't care.
I moved closer and placed my ears on the keyhole of the door, he was talking to someone on the phone.
I managed to hear a few things--
"She's fine, it's not safe, I would let you know when the coast is clear." He whispered, but he was audible enough for anyone to hear him through these holes.
Why would he be whispering to Matt? it's not like it's a secret I'm here against my will, even the birds outside know that.
"Losers," I mumbled.
I continued with my walk down the stairs. Glenda went to get more groceries from the store, if only I could fit into her grocery bag then I won't have to be stuck here anymore, just a silly thought.
I decided to make something for myself, since no one thought of making my lunch.
Ugh, It scares how much I have gotten used to the place.
I opened the fridge and luckily I found the leftover lasagna from last night, 'now where's the microwave.' I asked myself looking around the kitchen, everything in just seemed way too advanced for me, it was nothing like what I was used to in Henna's kitchen.
I spent a quite amount of time searching for the microwave, that's when I heard laughter coming from the door,
I didn't need to turn to know who it was.
"What you doing?" He asked humorously, "let me guess, you don't know what a microwave looks like?"
"Just in case you were wondering, it's the black magic box with buttons on it." He pestered. He's so annoying.
Have I mentioned how much I hate him, if I haven't I am saying it again....not as much as I hate Matt though, but I'm almost getting there.
"Don't you have anything better to do than annoy me?"
"Nope." he said popping the p, "That's solely why I'm here."
I rolled my eyes and looked away.
"I see why Hertz is so into you... you're a funny one." he continued test me.
"Have you ever considered becoming a comedian, you won't even have to audition." He went on with his dry jokes.
It wasn't bad enough I was stuck here, it had to be with the lamest person on earth, 'luck was really not on my side.'
"If you needed help, you just had to ask." He said, "that's pretty much why I am here.."
"Oh, I'm sorry I thought you were here to annoy me."
"That's the second reason...."
"Then I suggest you fuck off, because I would never ask a criminal for help, people like you disgust me." I spat.
I rolled my eyes again in frustration,
"Just leave me alone, you mere face irritates me."
"This face." He grins and points at his face, if I didn't know he was friends with Matt, I would have deemed him cute. But I learned that learson the hard, "Nah! not Even David Hertz can beat this face."
He come to where I was and pinned me to the kitchen counter suddenly, "W-what are you doing?" I yelped and gasped.
"I want to kiss you." He mumbled and brought his head closer to mine in an attempt to kiss me.
"Get away from me!" I yelled and pushed him off with every strength I had, "don't you ever do that again."I reprimanded and scrambled to the other side of the kitchen.
He began laughing against, echoing the entire room,
"You should have seen your face, it was priceless." He managed to say between his laughter, "You really thought I was going to kiss you."
"Stay from me!" I yelled and ran out of the kitchen, that just made him laugh even harder.
I never thought I would say this, ever, but I really can't wait for Matt to return, if he was around this asshole won't be messing with me.
I was heading back to the room, when I noticed Micheal's room was opened ajar, I quickly sneaked inside and looked around for a phone or anything that could get me out.
I saw his phone laying carelessly on the bed, 'dumbass.'I mumbled and quickly picked it, I hide it and dashed into my room,
I unlocked the phone and immediately dialed David's number, it was the only number I had the decency to cram,
It rang several times, but no answer.
"C'mon David, pick up." I mumbled with trembling hands.
After a few more tries--
"Hello?" I heard his voice, the same voice I have been yearning to hear for days, tears polled my eyes, "Hello?" this time he sounded pissed.
"David." I cried out
"Alison!" He clamored like he couldn't believe he was hearing my voice, I couldn't believe it too. "Ali, is that you?" He pleaded.
"I have missed you so much." I shrieked. I still couldn't believe I was hearing his voice, his husky voice,
"Are you okay? did he hurt you? If he did you have to tell me, baby?" He asked desperately.
"No, I'm okay." I assured him Matt was taking care of me, "I really missed hearing your voice." more sobs escaped my lips.
"David, I love you." I finally said those words I was too afraid to say, why was I scared to say them to him, there's no doubt in my heart that I love him.
I could feel him tearing up, "I miss you too." He whispered a few seconds after. "Do you know where you are?"
I shook my head, "No, but I know we are enclosed around trees and there's a huge lake." I told him, "I'm really okay, but I need you to get me out of here, I don't know how long I can take this--"
I heard footsteps approaching the door and I panicked.
"Someone's coming I have to go." I told him before I finally hung up, and hide the phone behind my back. The door flew open immediately, revealing a not so happy Micheal,
"Hand it over stone?" He said.
I brought out the phone and gave it to him,
"I saw it laying around and I just---"
He snatched it from me and walked out the door,
I was relieved, and also happy that I finally had the chance to talk to David, the thought could keep me sane for a few more days, until I finally get out of here.
Matt got me skating shoes and the patio was a decent place to practice, it was the only place in the house that didn't make me want to strangle myself,
It was peaceful and refreshing.
It kinda reminded me of Dylan and our special place, thinking of Dylan, I wonder if he's has heard, knowing Dylan he won't take the news well.
"You are really good." A voice spoke up from behind, I didn't need to turn to know who it was.
I stopped skating and just stared out,
"I'm still waiting, anytime now.."
"If you are still waiting for an apology for contacting my boyfriend, I suggest you shot yourself because you're not getting any from me."I spat.
"Boyfriend? that's a little presumptuous, don't you think?" He's been bugging me to apologize, since he caught me with the phone, like it's my fault he left the phone laying around.
"Just mind your business."
"Hertz is one lucky man." He sighed and stood beside me. I never understood why he called David's name like they were old pals or something.
"How do you know David?" I asked him, something just wasn't right..
He became silent for a while,
I almost regretted asking, then he said.
"I used to go out with Jenna." He said without looking at me. Was supposed to know who Jenna is?
"Who's Jenna?" I asked.
He turned to look at me in shock.
"you,'re kidding right?"
I raised an eyebrow,
"Do I look like am kidding?"
I didn't know who this Jenna was, as long as she wasn't an ex-girlfriend, or worse an ex-wife of David, I was okay with it.
"How could you be dating Hertz's and not know he's sister, Jenna?" He said her name with a smile, she must have been really special to him.
"I Haven't met her." I said,
Then it hit that I didn't know a lot about David, I spent most of my years complaining and disagreeing with him, rather than getting to know him.
"If she's so amazing, why aren't you with her?" I shot at him and he became cold suddenly.
"She left," he whispered sadly.
"Aww! I wonder why." I muttered sarcastically, "I guess criminals don't get happy ends after all."
He clenched his jaw, saying.
"I'm not the bad guy here, Ali."
"Let me guess Hertz is, like I haven't heard that before. I was tired of everyone blaming my father or David for their bad choices, "So I am guessing this is some sort of revenge for you too."
"No." he paused,"Ali, believe it or not I'm here to protect you."
"If you were really here to protect me, you would get me out of here and not just stand there---"
A voice cuts us off,
We both turned to see Matt,
Here goes the peace and quiet of this place, the criminal is back.
"I didn't know you were returning today?" Micheal said to him.
"That's because I didn't tell you." Matt replied stepping closer to me, "I couldn't stand being away from her any longer."
"To bad, I can't say the same." I shrieked, "This house is less intoxicating without you in it."
"Leave us, " Matt growled.
Micheal nodded and walked away, for a best friend he seemed really intimidated by him,
"Sorry, I haven't been around." he said.
"You promised you would let me go, this is the third week--"
"I will, just be patient luv."
"Don't call me that!"
"Yes, It's quivering," I told him.
He laughed, staring at me and I gagged, looking away from him. I was surprised he didn't mention my little stunt, which only meant Micheal hasn't told what happened to yet, why would he cover up for me?
"I see you've started skating again." Matt's phone buzzed, as we were heading downstairs, "Go on, Luv. I will catch you in a jiffy,"
Who says jiffy?
"Whatever, " I hissed and went head.
Before I got to my cell, I decided to drop by at Micheal's, just to ask him why he hadn't snitched on me, not that it mattered, I just wanted to know.
I reached to turn the doorknob when I heard him whispering to tomorrow.
"We attack tomorrow."
Which was strange seeing Matt was downstairs. I knew he shouldn't be trusted, who knows what he's up to now.
I should inform Matt about this.
