"Wake up, come on princess open your eyes." I heard a voice say. I tried to open my eyes, but my head was pounding.
"See I told you, you hit her to hard. You probably killed her."
"Whatever, I was going to kill her anyway."
"Oh well, all this means is that Cannon will fall right in my arms. Or Cody, I mean I don't care."
"As long as I get one of them."
"Why are you so stupid? None of them is gay, dummy."
"You two can have Cody or Cannon all you want, but keep your hands off of Connor. He is mine. Besides she is right, you were never going to get them."
"You both can shut up."
"Look she is not dead, she is waking up."
"It's about time she has been out for two days. Two days of having to watch the guys be all sad over her stupid ass. Having to listen to her family moan and whine. It's getting old now, move on."
"And they told me I was the crazy one."
I was finally able to open my eyes and not pass out again. I sat up and as my eyes started to focus on the room. I saw her sitting next to me. "Rosey? Rosey is that you?" I asked rubbing my head. She crossed her arms and just looked at me.
"It's about time." She said.
"What's going on?"
"What's going on is that your not the princess anymore. That's what's going on." She said in an angry voice.
"I don't understand. Where am I?"
"Don't worry yourself to much about that right now. What you should worry about is that you won't be leaving here anytime soon."
"Rosey, what have you done?" I asked her. Before she could answer I heard a door open and then two figures walked in. "Bradly, oh my god. Your involved with this to?" He just kind of looked at me and then back to Rosey.
"Sorry April, but Rosey is my best friend." Was all he said. I didn't recognize the girl standing next to him. She had her arms crossed and she was just watching me.
"Someone tell me what this is all about, please," I asked them all. They looked at each other for a moment.
"Oh for the love of, move over." The girl said to Roesy that I didn't know. She took a seat next to me and handed me a water bottle. "Your here because you think you can just come into this town and take over the Taylors. That's why your here. You can't have them and somehow you have all three of them." The girl said. I looked at her still confused.
"Who are you?' I asked her.
"My name is Melinda and Rosey has already told me you know about me and Connor." That's when I remember the stories that Connor and Cannon shared with me. Melinda was the crazy one who was sent off to a hospital.
"Your not making any sense. I'm with Cannon only. I don't own Connor or Cody." I said.
"That's where your wrong." I heard Rosey say. "You don't have Cannon either." She snapped.
"Yeah, see that's the other problem you have. You can't have any of them." Melinda said.
"Your all crazy and this is a crime. You can't keep me here. Let me go now!" I demanded. They just sort of laughed.
"As soon as we can make them realize they are better off without you. Then we will decide what we're going to do with you." Melinda said. I just laughed to myself.
"If they don't want you by now. What makes you think this is any different? I moved here just a little over a year ago and you have all been around them all your lives. What makes you think something has changed?" I asked. I could see Rosey getting angry and Melinda just took a deep breath.
"I don't care about Cannon or Cody. Connor will see I'm the only one for him. I've been trying to tell Rosey over here she has her work cut out for her." Melinda said. Rosey stood up and started to pace the room.
"I will be the one to comfort Cannon in his time of need. He will fall in love with me when I'm the one who has been there for him. Or Cody, I don't care what one." Rosey said with her arms crossed.
"You don't even care about them. All you care about is the Taylor name. Your out of your fucking mind." I shouted.
"No, what I care about is how their father owes me!" She hollered out. Their father? I said to myself.
"What are you talking about?" I asked her. She took a deep breath.
"It's their father I'm after." She said. I looked really confused at her.
"Rosey what are you talking about?"
"Their father thinks he can fuck me and then toss me to the side." She stopped and laughed for a moment. "You have no idea how it feels to be used by a grown man and then tossed aside like the next day's trash. He lied to me and told me he loved me. I loved him and now he will pay." She said. Oh my god. I said to myself. I didn't know what to do. I didn't believe I was going to get out of this one alive.
"That's fucked up, don't you think?' Melinda said to me.
"Rosey why, how. I don't understand." I said to her.
"Have you meet their father? He is extremely sexy and he is a man. Cody, Connor and Cannon are just boys." She said.
"But how did this even start?" I asked her. I was doing my best to fish for as much information as I could. I wondered if the guys even know what their father was up to.
"It all happened about three months before you moved here. I was in a store buying a few things when he walked in. He had said hello to me and that was about it, but then as I was leaving the store he was standing out front and he was waiting for me. We got to talking and the next thing I knew I was having dinner with him."
"And he knew who you were. I mean he knew you were a high school student?" I asked her.
"Yep, I never lied to him. He knew I was only seventeen at the time. That still didn't stop him. He became relentless. He was following me around and sending text messages and sending flowers. We were going out all the time. I started to fall for him hard and he was telling me the same thing. I finally gave myself to him and it was the best night of my life, but soon after that. I started to hear less and less from him. It came down to a point where I was going to his house. I even told his wife what he was up to, but that didn't change a thing." She said and then I saw her start to cry.
"I'm so sorry Rosey," I said.
"Oh shut up April. You don't care about me. All you have cared about since you showed up here has been the brothers." She snapped.
"That's not true. Your my friend." I said to her.
"Whatever." She said and took off out of the room.
"You see now why I'm involved?" Bradly said as he left the room. Melinda watched them leave and then turned back to me.
"I still don't understand what any of this has to do with me?" I said to Melinda.
"Your the only girl who has even been in their lives that they have all cared about. Regardless, if your with Cannon or not. They all love you in some way. Your are very special to them. I don't understand why, but it's true. Your our ticket to them. Rosey doesn't care about Cannon or Cody. She is after their father. She believes his sons are her way to getting to him." Melinda said. I laughed.
"Mr. Taylor could give a shit about his boys." I snapped.
"Your wrong, I dated Connor. I know his family. Cody is Mr. Taylors, golden boy." She said.
"But I thought it was Connor that was going to take his place?" I asked. Melinda just shook her head.
"Cody has always been Mr. Taylor's favorite, but Cody wants nothing to do with his father's work. Cannon is the better choice out of all of the boys. He is the smartest one and has told his father he would gladly follow him, but Mr. Taylor has never given Cannon the time of day. It's Cody he really wants but he is just settling for Connor." All of this was to much. I just wanted to go home and I knew I wasn't doing anything like that anytime soon. The information Rosey gave was unbelievable. I couldn't believe that grown man took advantage of her like that. I understand why she was so hurt. I looked back over at Melinda.
"Who hit me with the car?" I asked her. She smiled at me.
"That was Rosey." She said. I just shook my head. What she has done is unforgivable. I don't care how bad she was hurt. I had done nothing wrong. She could have killed me that night and then she is just around acting as she cared. This was all beyond messed up. I felt like my family moved us right into a soap opera. All I could think about was Cannon. I missed him and wanted him here. I knew he must be worried out of his mind. My family must be worried out of their minds as well.
"Melinda, what if I promised to leave?" I asked her.
"What do you mean, leave?" She asked.
"What if I promised to disappear. Would you let me go?"
"You don't get it, do you? I'm not in charge here. Rosey came to me. I had gotten out of the hospital and actually moved on with my life. She found me and sucked me back into this mess. I never stopped loving Connor and I had hoped that one day he would forgive me. She just pushed me into making today that day." She said. I wasn't ever going home. All of them were crazy and I didn't know what else to do.
