After school was over for the day I couldn't find Rosey. I walked out to the parking lot and she was nowhere to be found and Bradly's car was gone as well. Well shit, I guess I'm walking home. I started to head home. After about ten minutes had passed. I heard a loud noise start to come up from behind me. I turned to see what it was and a motorcycle was pulling up next to me. The bike stopped and the person pulled their helmet off. It was Connor. "Connor? What are you doing?" I said to him and he smiled at me.
"Me? Are you walking home?" He asked me. I just nodded at him. "Hop on." I laughed at him. "What?"
"There's no way I'm getting on that bike. Besides, do you really want to keep pissing off your girlfriend?" I asked him. He smiled again at me.
"I don't have a girlfriend.”
"What do you mean?"
"I broke it off with her yesterday." He said. I just kind of looked at him. He ran his hands through his hair. "She was just becoming to much. She was always on my nerves. Plus my family hates her." He said. "But anyway, nothing to worry about. Come April let me take you home." I just smiled at him.
"I have never been on a bike before.”
"It's easy, put this helmet on and hold onto my body." He said. I have to admit I was excited about this. I took the helmet from his hand and placed it on my head and climbed on. I reached my arms around his tight stomach and held on. Connor was a very good driver and I was having a blast. The ride ended to soon when Connor pulled up in my yard. My mother, father, and grams were all outside. Great, I said to myself. Connor stopped the bike and took his helmet off.
"April Blooms, what are you doing on that bike?" I heard my father say.
"I'm sorry sir, It's my fault. I saw April walking home and all I had was my bike." Connor spoke up. We both stepped off the bike and Connor walked up to my family. "Hello, I'm Connor Taylor, April's friend." He said and shook everyone's hands. My grams shot me a look and I blushed and looked away.
"This is not Cody?" My mother asked.
"No mom, this is Connor, Cody's twin brother," I said and my grams had a smile on her face. Shut up grandma, I said to myself. Connor had a smile on his face. It's funny that my mom said that because even though Cody and Connor are twins. You can tell them apart. Well, at least I can.
"Well, Connor it's nice to meet you." My dad said. "Are you joining us for dinner tonight?" I could have killed him.
"If that's an invite, sir. Then yes I will." I just rolled my eyes. Connor spent a lot of time out in the garage with my father. Talking cars and whatever guys like to talk about. He was literally charming the pants off of my father. I sat there on the steps just watching the two of them. Once my mother, grams and I were in the kitchen cooking. Connor and my dad came in and Connor started putting the charm on my mom and grams.
I knew my family was just eating him up. I also sat back and wondered what Connor was up to. He had to know that Cody and I were getting to know each other and I didn't think He wanted to cause any problems with his brother, but then again I didn't really know them all that well. All I knew was now I had two of the Taylor brothers in my home. I knew for sure that the third brother would never be here. Cannon was a jerk and we both hated each other. We all took dinner out on the back porch and Connor sat next to me. "It's nice to see you again Connor," I said sounding sarcastic.
"Oh hey April, when did you get here?" He said trying to be funny, but I didn't think he was. Apparently, my family did as they all laughed with him.
"Haha," I said.
"Your family seems really nice April. I hope I didn't overstep anything by staying here today." As he took a seat on his bike.
"No, you didn't. It was nice seeing my dad have someone to talk cars with."
"Yeah, your dad is cool people." He said. "I hope you to see you around again April." He said and kissed my cheek. I smiled and waved goodbye to him as I watched him drive off. Okay, this is getting a little weird. I said to myself as I walked back up to the house. My grams was sitting on the porch swing.
"Hey," I said. I walked over to her and took a seat. She smiled at me. "Okay, I know you have something to say. So just say it."
"How are things going at school?" She asked me. I eyed her for a moment.
"Okay grams, I don't know what's going on with these boys," I said. She continued to knit.
"Do you like them?" She asked me.
"Yeah, the twins are fine. Their younger brother is a jerk off."
"Why is that?"
"Becuase he is," I said. She nodded her head at me. I told her what had happened with him and she just smiled. One of her best traits.
"Those two boys like you April. You be careful."
"I will grams. I'm not trying to have a boyfriend right now. I just got here." I said. I felt my phone go off in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was a text from Rosey. She told me she went home early because she wasn't feeling so well and she forgot to tell me. She also said that she had just woken up. I told her it was fine because Connor gave me a ride home. She lost her shit and wanted to know everything. I just gave her a call.
"I was walking home and he pulled up next to me. I got on his bike and he took me home. To where he played with my dad all day." I said.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Yeah him and my dad got along wonderfully and they hung out the rest of the day. He had dinner with us and then headed home."
"Yeah, he also told me that he ended things with Layla,"
"What? Your kidding me." She hollered out.
"That's what he told me.”
"Oh god, this is going to be great. You know she is going to blame you right?"
"You think so?"
"Oh, I know so."
The next day I waited out front for Rosey to pick me up. She showed up right on time. "Hey, you feeling better today?" I asked her as I stepped inside the car.
"Yeah, I'm so worried about you."
"Becuase Layla is going to kill you."
"I promise you I'm not worried about it. Besides I had nothing to do with their break up." I said and crossed my arms. I got to my first class where I had class with all three of the brothers and Layla. This is going to be fun. I said to myself as I walked in. Cody looked up at me and smiled. So did Connor. Cannon didn't even budge. Layla sat across the room and I started to head to a seat that was in the middle of them.
"April, come sit with us," Cody said. I looked over at him and he was pointing to the seat in between him and Cannon. Layla was giving me death stares. Whatever I said and walked over to them and took a seat. Still, Cannon didn't even look up. I took my seat and both Cody and Connor were talking something about football. I pulled my things out and started to go through my books.
"It's nice to see someone who cares about school." I heard Cannon say. I looked over at him. He looked back down at his paper.
"Yeah, I'm not the cheerleader, Oh my god boys, boys, boys. type of girl." I said and smiled. Cannon smiled.
"We'll see." He said and went back to his work. The class went by without any issues from Layla. Which was surprising enough. The bell rang and we all headed out. I was walking down the hall when I felt something grab my arm and pull me into a room. I looked up and it was Cody.
"What the hell Cody? You scared the crap out of me.
"I heard my brother had dinner with your family." He said. I wasn't sure how to take his tone. Was he angry, sad, happy? I wasn't to sure.
"Yeah, he gave me a ride home and my father invited him to stay. Is that a problem?' I asked him.
"No, did he try anything with you?"
"No, he didn't. Why?" I said. First of all, I don't belong to anyone and Cody and I haven't even kissed. So I was confused about what he was getting at.
"I just wanted to know is all." He said while fiddling with his hands.
"Can I go now. We're going to be late." I said and Cody walked me out of the room and then he walked me to class.
"April, can we do something this weekend?" Cody asked me.
"Sure just text me," I said and smiled at him.
After school was out I was waiting by Rosey's car when Connor came walking over to me.
"Do you need a ride beautiful?" Connor said. He made me blush.
"No, I'm just waiting for my friend," I said.
"She's not going to ditch you again, is she? I hate to leave and you have to walk again."
"No, she is just getting some makeup work from yesterday. I'll be okay I promise." I said. He smiled at me. That was one thing the twins did have in common was their smile. It was so sexy.
"Do you think you might want to do something this weekend with me?" He asked me. Okay so I know this sounds bad considering I had said yes to Cody, but damn it there are two days on the weekend and I did want to see them both. I'm such a slut. I said to myself.
"Sure, I'll text you this weekend," I said and Connor put his number in my phone. I stood there and watch him walk away. This should be fun. I said to myself as I bit my lip.
