Chapter 7 ⚫ Continuing

I duck for cover, as the sound of gunshots fills my parent’s home. “I’m going to fucking kill you!” I yell.

He chuckles. “You can’t kill me, Marc, I thought you would know that by now.”

“Leo, how could you do this?” My mother asks as she continues to cry.

“Oh shut up Lena!” His voice booms. “You were a horrible wife.”

“So you’d bring a child in my place instead!” My mother rage.

Leo smirks. “She was better than you will ever be.”

“You’re sick!” Wyatt yells, trying break lose from the chair. I lift myself up, trying to get a good shot. I pull the trigger, but once again the bullet misses him.

Leo shot towards me, and the bullets missed. “Stop trying to kill your son.” My mother says, stepping in front of Leo. “Please Leo, just stop.”

Leo stops shooting and looks at my mother. His hands move to my mother’s face to touch, but his eyes quickly darken as he slaps her. She falls onto the floor, cuffing her face.

“Mom!” Wyatt yells.

“You son of a bitch!” I say, shooting at him. “You’re going to die today.”

4 hours earlier

Kelly giggles as I kiss her stomach. “Marc it tickles.” She giggles. I smirk. “No Marc don’t y--.” I stop her before she could even finish. My fingers tickling her sides. Kelly laughs, kicking her legs everywhere. “Marc stop, I have to pee,” Kelly says, out of breath. I ignore her and continue tickling. I stop, as soon as her leg connects with my nuts.

“Omf,” I say, groaning in pain. I land on the ground holding my ‘baby markers’.

“Oh my gosh, Marc I’m so sorry,” Kelly says, trying her best not laugh.

“Are you okay?” She asks, crouching down beside me.

I only groan in response. “Is this how you treat the person you love?” I tease. Kelly burst out laughing.

“You’re the only person I love, so yeah.”

I chuckle. “You’re horrible,”

“I know, il mio amore." She responds, shocking me.

“Look at you, speaking Italian.”

“I learn from the best,” Kelly says.

I place my head on her lap, letting her play with my hair. “That feels so good.” Kelly only chuckles. I turn my head facing her, looking at her gorgeous face. “Your so beautiful angioletto.”

She blushes. “Thank you.” She whispers. We stay like this for a few more minutes. The sound of my phone ringing brought us back to reality. I look at my phone and then back at Kelly, contemplating on if I should answer it.

“It’s okay, answer it. I’ll be in the living room watching tv if you need me.”

“Okay,” I reply, as she walks out of the room. “Hello,” I say answering the phone.

“You’ve been gone for practically a month, and you have not once called.” My mother scoldes.

“I’m sorry mamma, things have just been pretty crazy.”

“Is that why I’m finding out, from Kevin that your back in the U.S?” She asks me.

“Yes, mamma,” I sigh. “Is Leo home?”

“No, he hasn’t been home for a couple of weeks.”

“Okay, I’ll be coming over soon.”

“Bring Kelly too.”

“Kelly can’t come this time mamma, but I promise to bring her next time.”

"Bene, see you soon.” She says before, hanging up the phone. I sigh in defeat.

I have to tell them.

Walking out my room, I make my way to the living room. Kelly lays on the couch, her eyes focused on the TV. “He’s definitely the killer.” I hear her whisper, as she eats her popcorn. From the looks of it, you could tell she was watching a lifetime drama movie.

“Really, popcorn at-.” I glance at the clock. “-eleven in the morning?”

“Oh hush I needed it, this movie is way too good.”

I sit down beside her. “I’m going to go visit my mother.”

Kelly pauses the movie and looks at me. “You’re going to tell her?”

“Yeah, it’s better she knows now.” Kelly nods. “The guys are in the security room so if-”

“Yeah, I know.” She says.

“I’ll call you once I get to my mom’s house,” I say, placing a kiss on her lips.

I arrive at my mother’s house, just as the clock hits two. Using my key I unlockthe front door, walking into the house.

“Marc is that you?” My mother asks.

"Sì mamma.”

“Wyatt come downstairs, your brother is home.” She shouts as she pulls me into a hug.

“Hey bro,” Wyatt says, coming down the stairs.

“Sup little brother,” I say, pulling him into a hug. Wyatt pulls away, searching for someone.

“Where’s Kelly?”

“At home.” I clear my throat. “I need to tell you guys something.”

“What is it?” My mother asks. “My lord, Kelly’s pregnant isn’t she?” She shrieks in excitment.

I choke. “No, of course not.”

“She isn’t right?” I question myself.

“Then, what is it?” Wyatt asks.

“You guys need to sit, for this.”

“Your lying.” My mother whispers as tears fall from her eyes.

“Why would I lie mamma. Why would I lie about something so sick.”

“You’re telling me that dad, did all that to Kelly?” Wyatt asks. There were so many emotions that played on my mother’s face.

“Yes,” I say. “There is something else though.”

“What else?”

“Kelly had a baby.”

“Oh mio dio." My mother says. Tears visible in her eyes, she looks like she was going to be sick.

“It’s going to be okay mamma. I’m going to handle it.”

“What exactly are you going to do?” My mother questions.

“Kill him of course,” Wyatt says. “What he did is sick mamma. He needs to be punished.”

“Death is not the way. He is your father. We can send him to prison.”

“Mamma, how are you so blind by this man. Do you not remember all those times when he use to beat you?” Wyatt exclaims.

“All the time when you would cry inside the bathroom. Wishing to put an end to it.” I finish.

“That’s entirely different.”

“No, it’s not mamma and you know it.”

“I’m not going to sit back and watch you kill him.”

“Then don’t,” I say, my voice sounding harsh. My mother sat quietly. “I’m sorry, mamma. I didn’t mean to be that harsh.”

“We’ll figure it out.”

“Figure what out?” A voice says. Our eyes snap towards the doorway.

“Leo.” My mother says in shock. “What are you doing here?”

“Isn’t it my house Lena?”

“Y... yes.” Mother stutters.

“Then don’t question me ” He sneers. “But to answer your question my sweet Lena I heard that my son was home. Thought I come check it out for myself.”

“What do you want Leo?” I ask.

“I’ve come to kill you, my son. To take everything I worked so hard for back.”

My mother gasps. “Leo, what is wrong with you?”

Leo rolls his eyes, pulling out his gun. “Are you ready to die my son?”

“I’m not the one dying today,” I say, pulling out my gun.

“I’m not going to sit and watch you kill my brother,” Wyatt says, stepping forward.

Leo raises his gun, pointing it at Wyatt. As soon as he lifts his gun up, mine was already pointed at him. “Put the gun down Leo,” I warn.

Leo smirks. “Wyatt, be a good son and come to me before I splatter your brains everywhere.”

Wyatt looks at me as if asking what he should do. I nod my head, signaling for him to go to Leo. I watch as Wyatt walks to Leo, and Leo handcuffs his hands to the chair.

“Now, I assumed you’ve told them about Kelly.”

“Of course you sick fuck.”

“Quick question Marc, did you ever get the chance to call Kelly?”

Realization hit me. “What did you do?”

“You’ll see when t--.” I cut him off by pulling the trigger.

Shots Fired

2 hours earlier

I make myself comfortable on the couch watching lifetime. Its been awhile since I’ve watched tv. It felt great doing so right now. Checking my phone, the time read 3:14

Marc should have called by now

Turning the tv off, I walk to my room. Stripping off my clothes I enter the tub. I let the hot water touch my skin, as I begin soaping myself. Finishing up, I get out the shower and wrap my towel around my body. My eyes widen at the sight before me. My hands quickly raise up in surrender. Shocked. “W... what’s going on?” I stutter.

“I’m sorry Kelly, I truly am,” Cass says, her gun pointed directly at me. “Get dressed quickly, so we can get going.” I just stand there frozen. “Now!” She yells. I quickly went into the closet putting on whatever I saw first. “Let’s go,” Cass says, walking me out the room. “Act normal, and keep your mouth shut. Or you’ll pay.” Pressing the gun to my back, she guides me to the front door of the house, where two guards were standing.

“Where are you going with her?” One of the guards asks.

“We’re going for a ride. Marc wanted me to take her out for a few hours.” Cass says. They stare at her for a few seconds, before giving her room to pass.

“Wait.” The guard says stopping us again. “Are you okay miss Kelly?” My heartbeat increases. Cass presses the gun more into my back.

“Yes... I’m great.” I say, walking away.

Cass was driving for some hours now. The car was completely quiet. “Why are you doing this?” I ask, breaking the silence.

“Tell me, Kelly, do you know how it feels to watch someone you love. Love someone else.”

“N... no,” I stutter. The car stops because of the red light, letting the other cars pass.

Reality hits. “You love Marc,” I whisper.

Cass face forms into a glare. “You talk a lot.” She says, just as the back of her gun connects with my head.

“You son of a bitch!” I say, shooting at him. “You’ll die today.” I watch as the man I once called my father, look at me with pure hatred in his eyes.

“You won’t do it.”

I chuckle bitterly. “You made the mistake of hurting the woman I love. Of course, I’m going to do it.” I point the gun at his head ready pull the trigger.

“Put the gun down.” Someone says, busting through my mother’s front door.

“Cass. What the hell are you doing here, and why the hell do you have Kelly!”
