What kind of job?

What kind of job?

I woke up with Kilo pressed securely against my back. My cheeks heated and I snuggled closer. A quick Hail Mary should suffice for all the impure thoughts I was experiencing in that moment.

I listened to his breathing, felt it on my neck.

I thought about everything he said to me. About needing a hostage and being set up.

What kind of criminal is he?

I mean, besides a killer and why on Earth am I lying here next to one?

Why am I enjoying it so much? Shouldn’t I be disgusted by him? I need to find out what exactly he does. What were they being set up for? What kind of “jobs” do they do?

There is something so comforting about his warmth against my back. He makes me feel wanted and special in a way no one else ever has.

Well, I am special, I’m his hostage.

Kidnapping is not the way to pick up chicks Kilo, because it cannot end well...

Can it?

A knock sounded on the cabin door and I flinched, turning my body to face him.

“Kilo?” I whispered

He pulled me in closer, but didn’t answer. I smiled and lifted my fingers to trace his perfect lips.

“Hey! Kilo!” Parker’s voice sounded.

I could try and kiss him again to wake him. It seemed to work last time.

Not to mention that I’ve been wanting to anyway.

I leaned close to his face and wet my lips. Tentatively, I layed my mouth on his and kissed him. A little more intimately this time. Nibbling ever so slightly on his bottom lip as I came away.

The knocking on the door resumed just as Kilo woke up.

“Desire,” he whispered, clutching me more tightly to his body.

I smiled at him shyly and I could swear he blushed. He stared at me, his eyes full of wonder.

“Someone’s knocking,” I said.

He ignored it and lowered his hand from my back to my bottom. He raised his other hand up to my face and traced my lips with his fingers.

“I want you Doll Face,” he said. “I really, really do.”

I sucked in a sharp breath at his admission and opened my mouth to speak but-

“KILO!!!!” Parker screamed from the other side of the door. “Did she kill you?”

I gasped and he laughed.

“I’m going to break the door down in 5 seconds!”

“Just a minute Parker!” Kilo bellowed, not getting up.

Instead, he lodged one leg between mine and flipped me onto my back, pressing himself into me.

My eyes widened at the feel of him pressing against my stomach. He leaned down and nibbled on my ear lobe as his freed hand danced from my hip to my breast.

“Stay right here, I’ll be right back,” he whispered as he stood.

A dull ache had begun between my legs and I groaned as he unlocked the cabin door.

“Where am I gonna go?” I remarked.

“Ha ha very cute,” he said.

I watched him leave the room and close the door behind himself. I could hear every word they said to one another.

“Jesus Parker what is it?” Kilo snapped.

“We’ll be landing in two hours. You’ve been locked up in there with your princess this whole time. I was just checking to make sure you still had your balls,” Parker complained. “I hope you know what you’re doing.”

I swear, that guy.

“Parker,” I heard him say. “Don’t question me. I always know what I’m doing.”

I wondered how much of that statement was true.

“When it comes to Doll Face it doesn’t seem like it,” Parker said.

“Hey” Kilo began, angrily. “You don’t get to call her that. I can call her that. Not you.”

I giggled.

“Shut the fuck up,” Parker said.

“The funny thing is that you don’t think I’m serious,” Kilo warned.

“No,” Parker disagreed. “The bad thing is I know that you are.”

“Well thanks for the weather alert Parker,” Kilo said reopening the door. “I’ll be ready in two hours.”

He re-entered the cabin room and locked the door. He turned around to stare at me, his dark eyes traveling over my person, making me self-conscious.

I tried to hide the disappointment I felt when he didn’t immediately lay back on top of me.

“How would you like to make some serious money Doll Face?” He asked, sitting next to me on the bed.

“What? I gaped at him, sitting up.

I stared at him.

I will not help him kill anybody else.

“I mean, I know I said two weeks and I know you can’t wait to get home but-”

“There are no buts!” I said, cutting him off. “I don’t just want to go home. I need to go home,” I said sadly.

“I understand that,” he said, his appearance somewhat frantic. “Just hear me out.”

I groaned.

“In a couple of weeks I have a job out in Barcelona. I need a female for some of it,” he said, reaching over to lift my chin with his fingertips. “I mean, well, I could use a female for some of it.”

He wants me to help him on a job?

What kind of job?

Just ask him. It’s alright.

“What kind of job?” I asked and he smiled.

“We can talk more about it later,” he said, obviously satisfied with me answer for the time being. “Something else,” he went on, his face turned sour, his jaw clenched.

“What? Else?” I asked him, slightly irritated.

He crossed his arms and said, “I don’t want you alone with Parker. Ever.”
