After a summer full of fun and crazy experiences, I was back at school. Puberty hit me hard and I was absolutely sure that I looked better than ever.
I grew waist-length hair. Though it's freakishly curly, I think it's pretty cute. A few people told me my ass looked bigger and I noticed my boobs got bigger 'cause I had to buy bras sometime during the summer.
I don't know man, I feel like I was secretly fed something to make me grow this rapidly.
For school, I wore a crop top and cargo pants plus a pair of black boots. Definitely did not want to look like I was trying too hard. Or just trying at all.
The last thing I want right now is attention from a bunch of teenagers who won't stop talking shit about you just to tear down your self-esteem.
On my way to my locker, I spotted Leonardo Gonzalez. Simply one of the hottest guys I'd ever met.
He had electric blue eyes shielded by thick dark lashes. His face comprised no flaw. Everything was perfect from his spiky blonde hair to his sultry lips. Those beautiful lips.
I remember when we kissed. It was a game of truth or dare and there was no tongue but still, I was in another universe for about a month. I couldn't believe we made that kind of contact.
I've had this unhealthy obsession with him last year. I might have spent my summer away but nothing happened in his life that I didn't know of. I'm not a stalker or anything. We're friends: really close friends.
We met back in freshman year. I went to his cousin's party and got stupid drunk. He took me home and came to check on me the next day.
That's all it took; the gentleman trait. How could I not fall for that? I spent freshman year getting to know him and the sophomore year went by with me obsessing over him.
I don't know how I feel now. It had been a while since I last saw him. It was easy to resist temptation while we talked over the phone.
I ran my eyes over his body scrutinizingly. He sure was hotter than ever. Every part of me burned at the thought of him being close to me. I wonder what he's like in_
"Ari?" I was pulled out of my trance by Bryson, my best friend. He and I met back in middle school. I don't even remember what happened when we first talked. What I do remember is sitting next to him in every class since then. We're pretty much inseparable now.
"It's you," he said, his voice deeper than it was before. His eyes studied me as if not believing I was actually in front of him.
"Hey, loser," I ruffled his hair and pulled him in for a hug. He's gotten bigger. He's all muscles now.
"Shit," he groaned.
I pulled away and scrunched my brows.
"Aren't you happy to see me?" I questioned.
"More than happy," he said, his tone low.
"Dude, you're acting weird. I'm not catching your vibe right now," I complained.
"So fucking hot," I heard him whisper.
I chuckled in disbelief while shaking my head.
Hearing him say that made me kind of uncomfortable. I've heard he'd been sleeping around over the summer. I'm sure he's fucked ninety percent of the girls who go to school here.
I always knew he'd become this guy. He gave off the vibe at age twelve. I'd catch him staring at girls' asses or their growing chests.
"You're weird," I said.
"Forgive me," he said and I could see that he was trying hard to be normal.
"How was summer?" He asked.
"Great. You know the stuff. Surfing, family, hot guy in the neighborhood, and good food so yeah, loved every moment of it."
"What guy?" He questioned.
That's what got his attention? Wow.
"Just...a guy," I said, chuckling nervously.
"You had a summer fling?" He asked.
"I'm not sure I wanna call it that. But yeah."
"Damn Ari, you're all grown now," he said, "last I remember, you couldn't even hold hands with a guy who wasn't me and now you're fucking? Damn."
"Hey! I wasn't like that! I held hands with Leo," I said.
"Only because you liked him," he said.
"It counts," I said, then noticing that he carried a duffel bag.
"You're playing basketball again?" I asked, a grin forming on my face.
"Yeah," he said, "my therapist encouraged it and I only got the balls to get back in the court three weeks ago."
"Oh my God, Bryce! This is awesome," I said, a wide grin on my face.
"Yeah," he chuckled lightly.
I wrapped him up in a tight hug, "I really love this for you," I mumbled.
I was super excited because Bryson hadn't played basketball in about a year and a half. He played with his late father and after he perished, Bryce just couldn't get back in the court.
Hearing him say that he's back to it really made me happy because it had always been his dream to play for the NBA. I like that he's not giving it up.
"Look who's back," I shuddered slightly on hearing that voice. The one that would whisper in my ear asking me to come for him. In my dreams of course.
"Hey, Leo," I said, shifting a bit.
Yep, the crush is definitely still there.
