After the dance
I’m in Emily’s house, and I see Emily in the kitchen wearing a knee-length navy blue skirt with a white dress shirt with little blue stripes on it with a apron, making pancakes. and her hair is still curly from the night before but not as curly “marry me” I mumble to myself “would you like some pancakes ?” she smiles putting some pancakes on a plate. I see her father walk in from the other room and her smile goes away. (Writers note both of Emily’s parents are alcoholics) and she moves away quickly “Hello father” he sits down and starts eating the pancakes that were on the table “it’s probably the only thing that the bitch can do”.
