I'm just sitting next to Julia as she lays in bed, writing in her notebook. On her few days off, she writes more lyrics. When I have an idea, I get to help her out. She writes:

You ask me "Are you alright?"

But you are unaware that in my mind,

I'm fighting a battle.

Always sad.

Always scared.

Head down.

Hoodie on.

I tic when I talk.

I get nervous and I drop to my knees and I freeze.

She's stuck.

"Any ideas, Raven?" she asks. I write "no" on a corner of her paper with a pencil. "Great. I'm gonna go see Sara."

I possess her. "Sara? The Sara that worked at 5Below?"

"Yeah. Why? Did you know her?" she asks. We continue to take over the body.

"I'm the one that drove her crazy."

"How? Wait. The demon she keeps telling everyone about... was that you?"

"Yeah. She was about to get shot, so I freaked out. My demon took me over. Nobody possessed me, but I couldn't control my powers. What she saw drove her insane. At least, that's what people are saying. They're just saying that because they don't understand."

"What happened that night? After you saved her?"

"The military killed me. They didn't want anyone to know demons exist."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's okay. I have you now, Julia."

"Who was that guy you followed earlier?" Julia starts to walk out the door.

"That was Sara's roommate, Timothy. He cosplays one of my demon friends."

"That's cool." She gets in the car and I climb into the passenger seat. The seat creaks as if a living person sat in it. I possess Julia one more time.

"Don't leave until I tell you to," I tell her. I get out of the car and run to Hybrid.

"Raven?" He tries to hug me, but he jumps back in pain. I know it burns him. When you're touched by a Forgotten, it burns. Unless you're human.

"Hybrid! I'm sorry! I forgot Forgotten burn the dead! I didn't mean to! I'm so sor-"

"Raven! Calm down! I'm okay! How are you? You got shot by a bunch of humans. You don't still hurt?"

"None of my scars hurt anymore. If I stub my toe or something now, it hurts twice as much, though."

"Where have you been?"

"I've been with a girl named Julia. Right there," I point. "She let me possess her, and now we're pretty good friends."

"That's good. Can I visit?"

"Not right now. We're going to a friend's place. Timothy. Any other time we're here, though, you're free to visit."

"Okay. Oh. Uh, Raven?" Hybrid grabs my hand as I'm about to walk away. It's clear that it hurts him, but his eyes are black. He's using his super to touch me.

"Hybrid, what are you-" He cuts me off. He presses his lips against mine. I gasp and he forces his tongue into my mouth. He explores every millimeter of space. I try to kiss him back, but he softly bites down. After a second, he pulls me closer. His left arm wraps around my waist, his right around my neck. My body's trying to use my super, but Forgotten can't use it. I wrap my arms around his neck, trying to pull him closer. If that's possible. He pulls away.

"I've gotta get back to work. Someone got out. I'll visit when I can." He turns and runs.

I possess Julia. "He kissed me. My friend, Hybrid. He kissed me." I leave her body. We continue to communicate.

"The other demon you told me about?" Julia gasps. The game of yes and no revealed a lot.

"Yeah. I don't know what to think! The last couple times I tried to love someone, they both broke me. I'm scared. I love Hybrid, but I'm so fudging scared."

"From the way you talked about him yesterday, he's a really nice guy." Julia pats the shoulder of the passenger seat. I'm guessing she's trying to comfort me. I feel a tear run down my cheek.

The tear is black.

"He's a good guy, I just don't trust anyone anymore," I tell her.

"You trust me."

"I stalked you for about a month before I finally chose you," I blurt out. "That sounded horrible. I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

We drive to Timothy's apartment and Julia knocks. He lets her in, not knowing he has two guests.

"Hey, Julia. It's been a while," he greets.

"Yeah. Uh, I came to ask about a couple things."

"You could've called," he sits her on the couch and gets her a cup of tea.

"No. This couldn't be talked about over the phone. Um, first of all, how's Sara?"

"She hasn't changed. She just wants people to believe her. I partially want her to give up so they'll think she's healed, but she's a stubborn person." He takes a sip of his milk. I sit on the couch. My favorite pillow is still in my spot. "What else did you want to ask?"

"Did you know a girl named Raven?"

"No. Why?" He kills me. I possess Julia.

"Because I have the power of mind. I found my person, and now I want to know if I can help you in any way," I don't let Julia back into control, but she tries to fight. I don't let her take over.

"Raven?" Tim hugs me. I feel like he's going to crush what's left of my soul in his grip.

"Not so hard! I can't breathe!" I push him away.

"It's alright. Julia is a pretty good friend. She likes having me possess her. Except for right now. She's fighting it. But on a different note, Hybrid kissed me."

"That's amazing!" he exclaims. He looks hurt. I read his mind.

"You don't think so. You're glad I'm happy but I'm scared, Tim. I don't know who to trust."

"Let me out," Julia begins to resurface.

"Not yet," I push her back in. "Julia writes song lyrics. You play guitar. Help her."

"Timothy! Where were you? You were supposed to be at training!" a man bursts through the front door. I leave Julia's body so the man doesn't see my eyes. When I see the man, I break.

It's the man that had me killed.
