Jonas finds out about a secret relationship between members of different groups.

(Yuki enters searching around. Jonas hides)

Jonas:

Oh, hey. I saw her with the Otakus earlier…

(Bruce enters)

Yuki:

Oh, Bruce there you are.

Bruce:

Well, Yuki, I couldn’t exactly say hi earlier, now can I?

Yuki:

Are you sure we should keep doing this?

Bruce:

We’ve been together for over a year now and no one has ever found out about us. Do you really want to stop this?

Yuki:

I don’t know. It’s just… If my brother finds out…

Bruce:

He won’t…

Yuki:

I wish we didn’t have to hide. I wish our groups didn’t have to fight.

Bruce:

We’re worse than the Skrulls and the Kree.

Yuki:

What?

Bruce:

Sorry comic book reference.

Yuki:

See, if all of us were united we would learn a lot from each other. Like I’m so curious about comic books but if my brother finds out I read them, I’d have to say sayonara because he’s going to burn them all.

(Bruce feels pain in his chest)

Bruce:

My heart just broke a little there. I have to be honest though, it’s hard not to punch your brother in the face.

Yuki:

It’s his delinquent attitude. Akira has to be tough. I mean he is the leader of the Otakus. We’re not exactly a behaved group.

Bruce:

We ComicBookies are a rowdy bunch too you know. Steve is trying his best to control everybody but even superheroes can’t get along with each other.

Yuki:

What’s the point of keeping our fandoms to ourselves? It gets tiring listening to Hana and Mari talk about yaoi constantly. I don’t mind it really but repeating the same couples over and over again tends to get boring…

(Bruce gets confused)

Bruce:

Ya-wee?

(Yuki says the line with a straight face)

Yuki:

It means boys love.

Bruce:

Well with the number of male superheroes there are, they’d probably have fun pairing them together.

(Yuki lightly giggles)

Yuki:

They probably would.

Bruce:

There are a lot of guys in comic books so they probably can.

(Both laugh)

Yuki:

Aishiteru~~~

Bruce:

What does that mean?

Yuki:

I love you. The Japanese don’t really say it often but I just felt like I had to say it.

(Bruce smiles)

Bruce:

I love you too.

(Jonas freezes the couple and comes out of hiding)

Jonas:

Now would you look at that? Apparently, not everybody in each group hate each other. Man, hiding your love for over a year has got to be tough. Especially overhearing that Yuki’s brother is the Otaku leader. I seriously would not want to be at the other end of his bat… Still, it’s a shame they’re hiding their relationship. I wish I could do something to get all these orgs together. It might not be easy though.

(Jonas goes back to hiding and unfreezes the couple. Freddie enters rushing)

Freddie:

Hey Bruce!

(Bruce and Yuki jump)

Bruce:

Dude you scared us!

Freddie:

No time for complaining. I just saw the Fantasyans and Sci-fier coming this way.

Yuki:

What?! We should go now.

(Yuki about to run away. Bruce grabs Yuki’s arm)

Bruce:

Same time here tomorrow?

(Yuki shakes her head yes, smiles, then runs away)

Freddie:

Bruce, I don’t know how long I can cover for you. I’m happy you found someone really nice but if anyone from any of the other groups finds out, they’ll all be in a frenzy, especially Akira. Did you know that he’s broken his 6th metal bat this week?

Bruce:

Freddie, look I can handle Akira. That tough-guy attitude he’s doing is all an act.

Freddie:

An act or not, you’re secretly dating his sister. Look we’ve been best friends since we were babies and you know that I’ll always have your back. Like seriously, you get yourself into a lot of different trouble. But you see, the only person affected by all the things you’ve done before... was yourself. This Romeo and Juliet thing you’re doing with Yuki is going to affect not just our org but also the Otakus. I just feel like if you keep this up, nasty things might happen soon.

Bruce:

What exactly are you trying to say? Are you saying that I should break up with Yuki?

Freddie:

I’m not saying anything. It’s just between your love life and for the sake of our friends and Yuki’s friends, I’d rather you guys stop seeing each other. Plus, I’m running out of lies to tell Steve whenever you decide to just disappear. Not to mention that you are running the ComicBookies next year since Steve is going to leave soon.

Bruce:

Freddie you’re exag–

(Freddie cuts Bruce off)

Freddie:

Imagine how the others will feel hearing that their leader is dating someone from a different group. But hey, it’s honestly really up to you.

(Freddie pauses and Bruce is just silent)

Freddie:

We should really get going. I don’t want to run into Jackson and Lucas.

(Bruce and Freddie exit. Jonas comes out of hiding)
