“Liam, maybe you should slow down.” 75.
“Maybe you should shut up, so I can hear my GPS.” I was obviously going to let the police handle this matter, so I wouldn’t end up spending the rest of my life in jail for murder, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t going beat the shit out of Crawford before they got there. After, everything that has happened, I had my suspicions of Crawford being behind this chaos. But I never expected him to go this far. I would have much rather him stolen money, cars, or any other materialistic bullshit that could be replaced, instead of targeting my family. The agony after seeing the news, and the plane ride back to Seattle scared me more than anything, even my accident.
I have everything to lose now, which is the sad reality of being vulnerable to love. If I could have Katherine and the girls with me twenty-four seven, I would.
“I just think you should reconsider this, and just let the police do their job. I mean you gave that detective pretty damning evidence.”
“I am letting them do their jobs.”
Turn right and the destination is on your left.
“Right after I kick his ass for being the conductor in this little orchestra.” Archie let out a sigh as I pulled into the house of horrors. “You can wait in the car if you’d like.” I put my Range Rover in park, releasing my body from the leather confinement of the seatbelt, pulling the handle of the door to get out.
“Oh absolutely not.” Archie got out the car as well following closely behind me. “I need to make sure you don’t do anything stupid.”
“I’m not going to do anything stupid.” I spoke jogging up the staircase of the Crawford household ready to bring hell.
“I beg to differ.” I turned to Archie. “What, you remember what happened in Vegas.”
“We said, we weren’t going to talk about that again, like ever.” Archie smirked, pushing his hand into the pockets of his slacks.
“Just wanted to jog your memory of your reckless choices.” I rolled my eyes, deciding to ring the doorbell instead of banging my fist against the door. There were a few minutes of silence before the sound of locks coming undone, and the door opening.
“Lionardo? Archibald? What are you two doing here?” Cindy stared at Archie and I, as she spoke from a slightly cracked open door.
“My business is with your husband.” I pushed open the door, walking into the Crawford household.
“You can’t barge in here!” Cindy spoke slightly startled. I turned to face her, crossing my arms over my chest. Even though she was married to Satan and gave birth to the Anti-Christ, she wasn’t as bad them. Dumb yeah, but nonetheless pretty innocent in the ploys.
“Your husband, and darling daughter hired people to kill my pregnant fiancé and daughter.” Cindy’s wrinkled hand, covered her mouth as she let out a gasp. “So, barging in here is the very least I can do, after what they’ve done to me!” I watched as Cindy and Archie’s eyes traveled up to the staircase.
“What the hell is going on down here?” Turning around slowly, I watched as Delilah’s annoyed face dropped to pure fear. “W-What, what are you two doing here?” As I slowly walked towards Delilah, she was taking steps back to create space between us.
“You and your fat fuck of a father made a huge mistake.”
“Stop talking.” We were now staring each other in the eye. There was a point in time when I cared about Delilah, she grew up with Archie and I, so we were bound to be around each other. Even after the sex, I never had romantic feelings towards her, but I cared about her wellbeing. But, now I realize the Delilah, Archie and I knew, was long gone, and she was never coming back. The person I was looking at right now was a stranger, a stranger that took her anger and resentment towards me against innocent people. “I have been far too nice to you after everything you’ve done, and you pull this shit!”
“You ruined my life!” Unfuckingbelievable.
“Are you kidding me, Delilah! After, everything you’re still pushing this bullshit narrative!” Her green eyes squinted at my sight, as she balled her fist.
“I loved you, more than I ever loved someone else, and you used me. Like a selfish prick you used me!” She pushed my chest in anger. “And then when I thought I was over you, when I finally thought I could love someone else, Archie tells me you adopted the child of the bitch who works for you! Someone you’ve known for what seven months!”
“I’m not going to apologize for falling in love with her.”
“Stop! Stop! Just stop!” Delilah began swinging at me with her balled fist. “I don’t want to hear about how much you love her! I hate her! I hate you! I hate you so much!” I only ever witnessed one of Luke’s breakdowns, and it scared the hell out me. But right now, one thing was becoming clear to me. She’s in the middle of a psychotic break. “I want that bitch dead, I want her to fucking suffer!”
“Delilah.” Archie walked over to us, holding her arms back, to stop her from charging at me. I looked behind me to see Cindy, shaking her head as tears fell down her cheek. This must not be the first time.
“Get off of me Archibald!” Delilah began kicking and roughly hitting Archie’s forearms, so he would release her. “You’ve been touching that Harrington bitch! I’m your wife, you’re supposed to be mine!” Archie’s eyes found mine, in a frantic cry for help.
“Why are you just standing there!” I yelled at Cindy who was just watching this play out. “Your daughter is having a breakdown!”
“Aaron handles this, I-I don’t know what to do!”
“Let me go! Let me go!” Archie was straddling Delilah’s waist, holding her hands down to get her to calm down.
“Delilah-” Delilah spat into Archie’s face, as her green eyes were becoming red, from the tears clouding them.
“You left me for that bitch! You both left me!” The police sirens were becoming more audible, as they got closer to the property.
“I didn’t leave you-”
“Liar! I watched you! I watched you kiss her, I watched you touch her! You never looked at me like that!”
“I loved you!”
“I loved you too!” Delilah’s chest was rising and falling at an intense rate, as she and Archie stared at each other.
"This is the Seattle Police Department!" The front door was broken down as several cops filled the living room with guns drawn. Detective Samson was leading the cops, when he spotted me. “Hold your fire!” He walked over to me. “Mr. Harrington what are you doing here? We picked up Mr. Crawford an hour ago.” I let out a sigh, nodding my head. “Is that his daughter?” I only nodded. Archie found my gaze, asking me silently what the hell was he supposed to do. Delilah is unstable and a danger to herself right now.
“Lilah, you need to get up.” Archie eased up the weight he was applying on Delilah’s waist up, as he stood to his feet, grabbing her arms to pull her up. Detective Samson walked over to her, giving Archie a silent order to step aside.
“Delilah Crawford, you are under arrest for attemptive murder, conspiracy to murder, and embezzlement.” Samson clicked the metal handcuffs around Delilah’s wrist.
“You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can will be used the against you in a court of law, you have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you”
“Archie! Archie, please, you can’t let them take me!” Samson turned Delilah around to force her out the door. Delilah kept her feet planted on the floor, resisting arrest. “Archibald!” Samson handed Delilah off to a burly cop, who forced her outside. As I turned to face Archie, I couldn’t read the expression on his face, it was just blank.
“We picked up Hilary Stafford as well, as you requested she isn’t aware you know anything.” I let out a sigh before nodding.
“Let me know, when you want to head down to the station.”
“When she makes her phone call, I’ll come.” Samson nodded, before turning towards his cops.
“Secure the area.” They all nodded leaving out the front door. Cindy had already left out the door, following after the cop who had taken Delilah.
“You should get back to the hospital, I need to clear my head.”
