Introduction

Who would've thought that the world could be filled with so much despair and abuse to where it can affect the lives of families throughout the world. In 2005, the number of abuse cases recorded in the U.S was up to 899,000 children. Child Abuse is becoming a common news story in the U.S, that almost every other week there is a new story to be told. This book will be reflecting the hardships that a family can go through when tensions run through the confines of the heart of every member whether the parents or children.

The book takes place in modern day Sacramento, California where the Evan's family goes through the problems and tensions of an american family with a struggling marriage and lack of attention given to the children. Brothers, Jace and River Evans, must go through these problems together without the help of many of there relatives and the justice system. This trip through the lives of the mental strength of so many american families who struggle with abuse and disagreements will create the thought in the minds of the readers of how to help and identify problems such as abuse and depression with families near them.
