DaShawn laughed, “Oh, wow.”

“It was touching what Zack said about Paige, very sentimental,” Cain replied.

“Y’all ready to go? Cain has lost it,” Tristan joked.

“Yep, man, I’m about ready too. Brianna doesn’t want to talk to me now because I asked her to sext me a pic of that kitty cat,” DaShawn muttered. “She’s trying to ignore me.”

“I don’t blame her. That is inappropriate,” Cain scolded.

“We know you would think that. What do you and Shanice do for fun anyway, recite y’all Bible’s verses?” Tristan joked.

The others excluding Cain joined him in laughter. Cain rolled his eyes.

“I prefer to keep that private. You wouldn’t understand, it’s too deep for you,” Cain remarked.

Tristan smirked. “Try me. I’ve always been a prodigy and a genius. Don’t underestimate me, Cain.”

Cain grinned but didn’t say anything.

“As I told y’all before, Paige and I are going to this restaurant, probably sit back and chill, take a romantic stroll downtown, and have a great time. I want to treat her to the best day of her life,” Zack told them.

“Awe, so sweet. You are such a gentleman, man,” Cain commented.

“Ew, Zack romantic? Please. Not the old Zack I know,” Tristan brought up raw memories.

Zack shook his head. “That’s all in the past. Come on, man. I’m not like that anymore.”

Tristan shot him a knowing look. “Yeah, whatever you say.”

DaShawn stood up and stretched. “I’m going to buy some bottled water.”

Zack, Tristan, Noah, and Cain got up too. They cleaned up their areas as best as they could.

Nicole came over and smiled. “That’s okay, gentlemen. You don’t have to do that. I got it.”

“It’s cool, hon. We don’t mind,” Noah told her.

They left the restaurant, moving smoothly as always. They looked around and saw dozens of other Go-Getters dining and having fun. They spoke to the guys and girls that they were familiar with.

“Your father’s townhall event is getting ready to start soon, ain’t it? That’s exactly where I’m going to spend the next hour and a half. Hell, home can wait!” Tristan replied.

“I know right. That’s exactly where I’m going. I like to see his shit in person,” DaShawn agreed.

“Yeah, my dad is gonna channel his inner Malcolm X,” Zack laughed.

“I’m heading home to get something. I’ll be there shortly before it starts,” Noah said, hopping into his ride, cranking it up.
