Chapter 1. The First Day
“Kira, wake up it’s the first day of in person school!” Said my Dad as he woke me up. I grabbed my phone to check what time it was. I sat up as I turned on my phone and it was 6:30 Am. I groaned and fell back onto my bed and said “Give me five more minutes and I’ll be up by then..” My Dad smiled and nodded at me and closed my door. I sat there for a minute feeling the butterflies in my stomach waiting until they would go away. “I’m so nervous” I thought.
I tried to wait to see if the butterflies would go away but they didn’t so I decided I would deal with it and get out of bed. I climbed down my latter from the top bunk of my loft bed. I got dressed and brushed my hair. I walked out of my bedroom into my kitchen and opened one of the cabinets and grabbed a green bowl from the cabinet. I went and grabbed a box of Frosted Flakes and poured some into my bowl. I grabbed a spoon and decided I didn’t want any milk with it. I walked into my bedroom and closed the door. I went and put on my shoes and ate the rest on my bowl of cereal. I walked out back into the kitchen and rinsed my bowl and put it in the dishwasher.
