Chapter 1
"It was a hot day when my husband came home from work, he came home early and demanded a drink. I was exhausted, I think the heat was getting to me." I started, staring at his lifeless face, wishing that afternoon never happened.
Let's wind back, shall we? It all started when I was just 14. My mother and father set up an arranged marriage that would "get us out of the gutter." I hated the idea of marrying some I had never met! That night, my soon to be husband was pounding at the door. "Izumi get the door!" my father shouted from the bathroom.
