Chapter 21 : Get it out

I ignored the pain I was feeling, after all, I’m do until 2 weeks from now.

I think I’m lost, mainly because I began to not recognize the hallways, I thought I was alone in the hallway, but then I heard the clicking of heels. I turned to see Sabrina, she had her arms crossed over her chest.

“Hi-”

“Leave him alone.”

“Sorry, I don’t think I know who you’re talking about.”

“Don’t play dumb with me.”

“He’s my fiance, why would I do that?”

“Cuz you’ve gotten so big, especially with your belly maybe one day you’ll be off balance and fall down,” She said with a shrug of her shoulders.

Did she just threaten my baby?

“Are you threatening me?”

“It’s not a threat, I’m helping you, because when you and Isaac eventually divorce there won’t be a little rugrat tying you and him together.” She says in a sickeningly sweet tone. I start to feel another pain shoot through my stomach and I wince.

“Okay fine, If we did divorce at least I won’t become a gold digging whore that can’t find anyone rich enough to fuck her, so she has to go back to her ex who’s already begun a life and has a pregnant fiancee.”

She glared at me and balled up her fists, another pain ripped through me and I screamed and fell to the ground. I hear running footsteps and someone tries to help me up from the ground. I look up and it was surprisingly Noah.

“What did you do to her?” Noah said furiously.

I know this will land me a spot in hell, but I just had to do it.

“She threatened my baby,” I say in between sharp breaths.

“You did what!?” I was not expecting Calleen to be there, but it’s really the icing on the cake.

“Calleen?! No, I swear I didn’t do anything to her, you have to believe me, you just have to.” Serena said sporadically. A wave of pain consumes me and I scream again.

“Are you calling the mother of my grandbaby a liar!?” Colleen’s body tensed, her nose faird, and I knew she was seeing red. At that moment, I remembered my mother, both of my parents, and how they would miss the birth of my second child, and it made me a little sad.

“What! no.”

“GET OUT!!” In that moment Colleen was seeing red.

“Colleen please believe me.” Sabrina pleaded.

“I said get the hell out!” I notice that a larger crowd has formed than earlier, and I see Isaac pushing his way through it. Sabrina gave me one last glare before running out.

“Isaac, I don’t want Noah to be the first one to touch our baby.”

“Oh, so you think I can’t deliver a baby,” Noah said sounding offended.

“Noah, get the hell over it and call an ambulance.”

Isaac Collins POV

I drive back home after Rowan is taken to the hospital to retrieve her hospital bag. I rush back to the hospital as soon as possible; it’s not as quick as I’d like because of traffic, but that’s New York for you, a big pain in my ass.

When I walk in and look over at the seating area, I see my family, Sarah, Jenette, Benji, Noland, and even Noah, but I have the feeling that someone is missing. I also notice Lovey. Lovey Spots me from Tori’s lap and rushes over to me.

“Daddy!”

“Hey, Lovebug,” I say dropping the hospital bag and scooping her up into my arms.

“Daddy, is mommy ok?” I smile.

“Yeah, she’ll be fine.”

“In fact, today orrr, Thalia says looking at her watch, 5 hours from now your little brother will be born.”

“Really?”

“Hmm.” Thalia hummed with a smile, then touch her out of my arms. I see Matthew walk up to me, he puts a hand on the shoulder.

“You ok?”

“I, i don’t know,” I said with uncertainty, He smirked.

“You’ll be fine, just take a breath.” I sigh.

“Thanks, hey were’s Valerie and David?” And then, as if on cue, I hear Valerie screaming and see her on a stretcher, accompanied by a frazzled David.

“GET IT OUT OF ME!!” She screamed. We all turned to look at a young pregnant woman and her partner 3 row in front of us, who appeared traumatized, and we all began to laugh.

“It sounded like she’s giving birth to a demon.” Gene said.

“What is wrong with you,” Tori asked.

“There’s nothing wrong with me.” Gene defended.

“You eat your peas one at a time,” Talia says everybody gasps, Matthew covers Lovely’s ears.

"Oh my god," My dad said.

"Where did we go wrong?" My mom says looking up.

"It's not that bad."

"Dude," Benji said looking at Gene disgusted.

Rowan’s POV

I feel terrible, but all I can do now is wait. While I’m waiting, I’m walking around the maternity ward because I’ve heard it helps the labour process. My contractions are already 15 minutes apart, so I just have to wait a little longer. I start to hear screaming, then I see David.

“David?” David turn and his eyes go wild.

“Rowen, are you ok?”

“Yeah I’m fine, where’s Valerie?”

“She’s in one of the rooms.”

“Was she the one that was screaming?”

“Yeah, the paramedics told me to go and sit out in the seating area, but.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of her, go get a coffee or something.” David smiled.

“Thanks.” He said then walked off. I walk over to Valerie’s room a slide open the door.

“Hey, you ok?” I see Valerie kneeling and gripping the bed. She looks over and I see that she’s been sweating, I walk over. “Von you ok.

“Yeah, this just really hurts,” She said wincing.

“Come on let’s go walk around.”

“Ron, I can’t,” she said tearing up.

“Yes you can, you can do this.”

“What if I lose him too.”

“Don’t talk like that, come on ok.” She sighed then got up slowly. We walked around until it was time, and about halfway through, Isaac showed up with the hospital bag.

And know in the delivery room I'm giving birth to our son Erin, Hakeem Collins

I looked up at Isaac and he had a blank stare on his face, for the life of me I couldn’t imagine what he was thinking, I just hope that he didn’t have any second thoughts.

Issac Collins POV

I walked over to the baby nursery and looked at all of the pink and blue blankets and sleeping babies, one of them was being swaddled by a nurse. Then I saw my kid Erin. He's my kid, he was so little how can I human be that tiny? I placed my head on the glass and couldn’t help but cry.

“Hey son,” My dad said from beside me.

“Jesus old man, you almost gave me a heart attack,” I say then wipe my tier before it fell.

“He really is cute. you know the first time I held you I thought you were the tiniest thing in the world, I was just so afraid that I would break you.”

“You know what dad, that’s actually really nice of you to say.”

“But you turned out to be a total jackass.” He added.

“And that moments gone.”

“Anyway, why are you crying out here? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you cry. Wow, now that I think about it you didn’t even make a peep when you came out of your mother.”

“Jesus dad, after what I saw today let’s just not talk about that, especially picturing my mom giving birth to me.” I gag.

“OK, whatever.”

“I just don’t want to mess em up, kind of like you did with Gene.”

“Yeah, we really dropped the ball on that one.”

"Yeah," I agree.
