Chapter 12 – Kitty

I was walking back to the locker bay, with Jonah, Blake, Jude and Aiden, when I heard someone call my name. I turned around to see Millie standing about ten meters behind me. I look at her in confusion.

When we had come up with our plan for revenge one of the rules was that we wouldn’t speak to each other during school time. So why has she gone against it? I asked myself.

Millie looked at me and pointed towards the girls’ bathroom. I nodded in response. She turned and walked into the bathroom

“I see you guys later,” I told the boys as I started walking over to bathroom

As I entered, Millie was checking the cubicles to make sure no one else was in the bathroom.

“No one here,” she told me.

“What is this about, Millie?” I asked when I reached her. “We agreed that we wouldn’t meet during school hours.

Millie reached into her blazer pocket and brought something out. “Missing something?” She asked as she held it up for me to see

“My phone,” I squealed happily as I took it from her and placed into my own blazer pocket. “Where did you find it?” I asked eagerly

“Denise had it,” she answered as she glaring at me

“Oh,” I said slightly embarrassed as I lowered my eyes to the ground.

“You need to be more careful, Kitty?” Millie told me.

“I’m sorry Millie,” I told her.

“Kitty, she was going to give it to Angelica. If Angelica were to read the message on that phone, we would be both be screwed.”

“I get it, Millie,” I told her, “I’ll be more careful in the future.”

Millie took a quick glance towards the closed toilet door, “Did you know that Austin is blackmailing Blake?” She asked as she turned her attention back to me.

“No,” I said in shock. “What is Austin getting Blake to do?”

“Homework,” she replied.

“What does Austin have on Blake?” I asked still surprised.

“I don’t know,” Millie told me. “But it is bad.”

“Really?” I asked.

“Austin said it could possibly ruin Blake’s life,” Millie told me, the tone of voice she was using showed how worried she was.

“I see if Jonah will tell me,” I told her “I have chemistry with him now.”

“Don’t Kitty,” Millie said. “Jonah is smart, he will figure out what we are doing. We will have to work it out a different way.”

I sighed. “Okay then, I won’t ask,” I promised her.

The bathroom door opened and two little year sevens entered.

“We will talk later,” Millie told me. With that being said she turned and left the bathroom. I waited a few minutes before leaving the bathroom to get my chemistry books. Jonah was waiting for me by my locker.

“What was that about?” He asked.

“I don’t really want to talk about it, Jonah,” I told him as I opened my locker and took out my chemistry books.

Jonah nodded in understanding “Fair enough.”

I wanted to ask Jonah what he knew about Austin blackmailing Blake. Jonah had to know something, his was as close to Blake as I was to Millie. Remembering what Millie had said however was causing me to keep my mouth shut.

“Let’s go to class,” I told him.
