Chapter 26 – Kitty
“Are you sure there is no way that they can trace this back to us?” Aiden asked for the millionth time.
Jonah, Millie, Aiden, and I were outside of the police station.
“Yes,” Millie answered with a slight sigh. She was annoyed that she had to keep repeating her answer. “Lisa told me that Jason deals for the majority of our year level. Anyone of them could have ratted him out.”
“Are you guys ready?” Jonah asked as he looked towards the door.
“It's now or never,” I told them.
I opened the door and allowed everyone, though. We made our way to the front desk.
A young woman was beside it. She would have been older than twenty-five. The badge on her chest read: Constable Ollison.
She looked up as we approached her. “What can I do to help you?”
“We know where a drug deal is happening,” Millie said.
Constable Ollison quickly grabbed a pen and paper. “Tell me everything,” she said.
“Jason Adams,” Jonah said. “He sells drugs at Lakewood Park.”
“Will you be able to make a statement?” Constable Ollison asked us.
“Is it alright if I stay anonymous?” Millie asked.
Constable Ollison nodded. “That will be okay. Officers will check out the problem.”
“Thank-you,” we answered together and left the police station.
“Thank God that's done,” I sighed as we made it out and began walking to the bus stop.
“What's the plan now?” Aiden asked.
“Well, here is to hope that when Jason goes down, he gives up his list of buyers,” I explained.
“And we will, in turn, reveal that Lisa is an addict,” Millie added.
“And if he doesn’t?” Aiden asked.
“Well after knowing that Jason has been arrested for drug changes most likely the school with have an inspection of all lockers,” Millie told Aiden.
“And even if Lisa isn’t exposed, she will no longer have any drugs to buy as her supply is gone,” I began.
“And will most likely put herself in rehab,” Jonah finished for me.
I smiled at him. “Took the words right out of my mouth.”
“Now that we are done with Jason and Lisa, we need to deal with Austin,” Millie announced.
“How do you plan to do that?” Aiden asked.
“Find out what Austin is using to blackmail Blake,” Jonah said.
“Wait, Austin is blackmailing Blake, and none of you thought to tell me this!” Aiden exclaimed.
Jonah, Millie, and I all looked at each other guiltily.
“Well it sort of slipped my mind,” Millie said nervously.
“How could this slip your mind?!” Aiden complained.
“That doesn’t matter now,” Jonah pointed out. “We just need to work on how to help Blake,”
“I already have a plan,” I announced.
This caught their attention. They all turned to look at me.
“Millie will get close to Austin, and the rest of us will get Blake to talk,” I explained.
“What if Blake won’t tell us?” Jonah asked.
“We are his friends,” I reminded Jonah. “He has to say us.”
“He has kept it a secret for this long,” Aiden pointed out.
“We just need to show him that he can trust us,” I told them.
“I hope you're right,” Aiden mumbled.
