Chapter 1

25 days until Christmas...

A bright red spot decorated the date on the calendar sitting on the cosy mantel piece, the warm fire below beckoned weary feet for some much needed rest.

The old stereo set played old Christmas carols and somewhere from the kitchen wafted the sweet smell of cookies. Grandma Rose was busy, she had waited for this time of the year for so long. Everyone was going to be there on the little farm, she was so excited to see her great-grand children.

There was still so much left to be done, the charming stone house had to be decorated. It was a daunting task to deck the 102 year old farmhouse but she had planned it all out.

Sheryl her daughter would be arriving soon, it was 10 long years since they had met. Life had been busy but not for Grandma Rose, for her time would stand still this Christmas.

: This is a very interesting book - mostly because the heroine is quite charming and well rounded, and has very real issues to manage in her life. Most of all,. I loved the view inside of the life of a South Asian girl/woman, the emotional self-talk, the customs and preferences, the expectations a...
