Keeping Her book 1 Bratva Life

This is the first book of my new spin off series based off of The Valentino Brothers. I highly suggest you read those three books first before reading this one. There are going to be three more, including this one, books in this series. Keeping Her, Little Rebel and Shattered Souls. “Please…” She frantically gasps. “Don’t kill me.” “Are you going to behave for me?” I whisper in her ear. “Yes.” She cries. “No more running Lada.” I growl. “It’s time for bed.” I let go of her throat and she lets out a breath, her body slightly relaxing. I turn her around in my arms and grab her wrist, pulling her behind me as I head back upstairs to my room. We walk inside and I guide her to the bed, gently pushing her down until she’s sitting. I let go of her wrist, walk over to the chair I had her tied up in and grab one of the ties. I walk back over to her and pick her wrist back up, wrapping the tie around it. “What are you doing?” She yells, ripping her hand out of my grasp. “Until I can trust you to behave Lada, you will be tied up.”

Chapter 1

We’ve been in Russia, Moscow for almost two weeks now. There has been no sign of Ivanov. We’ve been watching Lada and from what we can tell she lives a simple life. She does have bodyguards who are always watching her. Two men watch her during the day and two men watch her at night. I’m not even sure if she’s aware of their presence or not. Usually I’m great at reading people, that’s my whole freaking job, but I still haven’t been able to get a read on her yet. It is possible that I’ve been having such a hard time because we’ve only been watching her from a distance, I haven’t gotten close to her yet. But even far away from her I can tell she’s gorgeous. Bright ginger hair tumbles in waves down to her back. She has pale skin, as white as snow and a petite frame with a tight plump ass and generous sized breasts. She’s a ballet dancer and her body definitely shows how committed to her work she is. I watch as she walks into the ballet theatre and lean back into my seat in the van, I’m in. I run my fingers through my hair and let out a frustrated sigh.

“Should we call it a night?” Xavier asks.

“I guess. I’ll have two of my best men watch her tonight.” I pull my phone out of my back pocket of my jeans and call my second in command, Maverik.

“Boss.” He answers on the second ring.

“I want you and Lev to watch the girl tonight.” I tell him. “She’s inside the theatre now.”

“On it boss. We’ll be there in fifteen.”

“Good.” I hang up the phone and tuck it back into my pocket. “My men will be here in fifteen minutes.” I tell Xavier.

“Good.” He sighs. “I need to call Luna and then I’m going to crash. I’m exhausted.”

I nod in agreement. Right now, I could go for a big glass of scotch, a nice hot shower then a long night’s sleep. I should also try to call Mariska, but I’m not sure if she’s done being mad at me yet.

When I see the unmarked Chevy Tahoe, I know my men are here. I nod to Xavier and he starts up the van, slowly driving away and heading towards the hotel were staying at. I do own a house here; it was my parents’ house. But it’s older and further away from the theatre than I’d like to be. Plus, I haven’t been back there since my father’s death.

After another fifteen minutes of driving, we’re at the hotel. I head up to my room and so does Xavier. I kick off my shoes and walk towards the bathroom. I start up a hot shower, strip my clothes then wash the day off of me. When I get out, I dry off and wrap the towel around my waist. I walk back into the room and look for some clothes when my phone starts ringing.

“What’s wrong?” Xavier asks, as soon as I answer and a feeling of dread sits in the pit of my stomach.

“Why are you calling us both Caleb?” I practically growl.

“We were ambushed at the mall while the girls were shopping.” Caleb says, causing my heart to drop in fear for my baby sister.

“How’s Luna?” Xavier quickly asks, worry lacing his voice.

“She’s fine, our men swiftly took her out of there and she’s home now.”

“Where’s Mariska?” I ask my voice deep in anger and worry.

“They took her.” Caleb quietly says.

“God-fucking-damnit!” I roar. “Who the fuck took her? How did this even fucking happen? You were supposed to protect her Caleb!”

“Calm down Dimitri.” Xavier says. “I’m sure Caleb did everything in his power to try and stop this from happening.”

“Don’t tell me to calm down!” I growl. “My sister was taken and I’m here in Russia. She’s the only family I have left, the only person I love. I made a vow to protect her and I couldn’t even keep it.”

“Dimitri, I’m going to get her back. I promise you that.” Caleb tells me. “It was a Russian group who took her, I’m assuming they work for Ivanov. They shot me and when I was down, they grabbed her. I’m so sorry this happened. I’ll get her back though.”

“You better, or it’s your fucking head on the line. In the meantime, I’m going to find answers of my own.” I hang up the phone and quickly throw on a pair of boxers and jeans. I grab my black t-shirt, shove my feet into some socks and my black combat boots, then I’m rushing out of my room and to the van in the parking lot.

I speed my way to the theatre and call Maverik.

“Boss.” He answers right away.

“Ivanov’s men took Mariska.” I grit through my teeth. “It’s time to get some answers and take this mother fucker down. I need you and Lev to kill those two guards watching the girl.”

“Of course, sir. May I ask what you are planning on doing?”

“Ivanov took someone I love so I’m going to do the same to him. I’m going to take his precious little Lada.”
