Chapter Ninety One

Jordan's POV

I stood behind Leah in front of the full length mirror in our room fully dressed in our attire for tonight's ball.

I stared into the eyes of the woman staring back at me, unable to recognize the flawless beauty meeting my gaze.

"Wow!" I whispered in awe.

Leah's dress reminds me so much of a princess bride, especially with me in my white tux and a gold handkerchief to match her dress stuffed into my tux pocket.

The gold dress which is cut off her shoulder, emphasizes her full breasts because of the low cut and her slim waistline, leaving her slim neck bare.

Opening my hands, I hung the topaz and diamond necklace I bought for this occasion after seeing the color of the dress she would be wearing.

Leah gasped in surprise, her fingers lifting to caress the yellow stone which drops above her cleavage.

"Jordan this is beautiful," her eyes widen as it met mine. "It looks expensive." She stares at the matching earing I gave her to hold while I try to insert one into her ear.

"I'll do it before you pierce another hole in my ear." Leah chuckles.

There will be lots of photos tonight but I need the first one for my phone.

"Let's take a selfie." I gave her my phone because I am not a selfie kind of guy and since Jayden, Leah and my phone are filled with personal photos she keeps taking.

We ended up taking lots of photos with Janelle and Shenelle getting excited to see Cinderella and Prince Charming going to the ball.

Jayden dressed in his onesies, were in all our family photos.

"Keep the door shut at all times and remember I have a security posted outside." I spoke to Mrs. Sanchez since she's in charge of the girls and Jayden.

Leah just stood nervously beside me wringing her hands once again.

Because we needed to arrive to the function from the front entrance, Leah and I climb into a rented limo that was awaiting us to the side of the hotel to make our grand entrance on the red carpet out front, packed with photographers and reporters, which is the worst part of any function for me.

I was the first to climb out of the limo in front of the hotel to the flash of cameras and shouts of my name.

"JORDAN OVER HERE! OVER HERE JORDAN!" One photographer kept shouting out my name as if I know him personally.

Ignoring the shouts, I smiled as my wife nervously puts a foot out the of the limo, gripping my hand tightly.

"WHOSE YOUR DATE TONIGHT JORDAN?" The shouts continued.

I guess my marriage isn't real to some of these people because other than hearing about my marriage, no one really saw Leah and I in public before.

Maybe they thinks it's a myth, I laugh at the thought.

"I've got you," I promise Leah as her second foot hit the floor.

Taking a deep breath, Leah smiles as I leaned down to kiss her neck affectionately.

Giggling, "that tickles." Leah's smile brought out a radiancy which the cameras caught at that exact moment.

"JORDAN ARE YOU GOING TO INTRODUCE US TO YOUR COMPANION?" The questions changed it's course.

The valet shuts the limo door behind us leaving us to make our way unto the red carpet and the large groups of photogos and reporters trying to shove microphones towards Leah and I.

"JORDAN AREN'T YOU GOING TO INTRODUCE US TO YOUR COMPANION?" A reporter shouted as our security block them from coming closer to us.

I felt Leah squeeze my hand.

Nodding to the photographers, "let's get the introductions over with, I don't want to go through this again." She mumbles with a small smile.

I search the sea of faces until I saw a reporter I have met over the years while exiting clubs and sporting events.

Drawing Leah closer, I lift my hands to greet the reporters.

"Gentlemen," I pause with a smirk while trying to find a female reporter among them.

"This is my wife...." I lift my palm to cover the blinding lights that came out in full force now along with the shouts of exclamations which followed my introduction of, my wife.

"MRS. BRANSON, MRS. BRANSON!" The shouts were now being directed to Leah.

"WHO ARE YOU WEARING TONIGHT?"

"HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN JORDAN?"

"IS IT TRUE, YOU USED TO WORK FOR BRANSONS, JORDAN TO BE EXACT?"

"DID YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND SHARE A OFFICE ROMANCE?"

Whatever Leah was expecting when she agree to be introduced to them, this wasn't it.

Lifting her eyes, "wow, is that what they have heard about me?" She laughs.

"MRS. BRANSON LOOK OVER YOUR RIGHT SHOULDER AND JUST GIVE THE CAMERA ONE SMILE!"

"JUST ONE GLIMPSE OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL GOWN!"

"HOW ABOUT A FULL SHOW OF THE NECKLACE YOU'RE WEARING!"

Holding Leah at arms length, I watch her smile politely at the cameras for a few shots.

"That's enough guys," I wave already guiding Leah inside the hotel. "Thank you for being here," I chuckle lightly.

Breathing a sigh of relief, "wow," Leah kept blinking her eyes. "Those flashes were bright." She laughs as we follow our security inside.

"Now we have another set of guests, to deal with." I mutter, waving a waiter over.

Lifting a glass of champagne off the tray, "may I have a glass of sparkling water for my wife please?" I was making a request when Leah reached out and took a glass of champagne off the tray.

Frowning at her choice.

Chuckling at my confusion, "I pumped enough milk for Jay," looking around the room, "tonight we're going to have some fun." She continued.

Surprise at the change in her, "so you are okay now?" I thought about her nervousness from earlier.

"Just great!"
