Chapter 1

Ring!!!!

“Ugh,” I said. Yay, school. First day of hell.

I got out of bed and had a shower and got dressed in black skinny jeans, white tank top and black leather jacket with black vans. I blow dried and straightened my hair, I put makeup on and walked downstairs.

“Where’s Alec?” I asked.

“He might still be asleep” the maid, Maria said.

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me” I whispered as I walk up the stairs to his bedroom. I walk in and sure enough, there he is, still asleep. I turn on the light “Wake up Alec” he groaned and threw the blanket over his head “Fine, hard way it is” I walk over and stole his pillow and blanket and threw them far away so he couldn’t reach them and go back to sleep, I then walked over to his curtains and opened them up. “I swear to god Alec if you make me late on the first day of school, I’ll have dad wake you up every morning”

“Dad leaves for work at 6:00am or he is away on his stupid business trips,” said.

“I know, that way you will have plenty of time to get ready or won’t go to school at all. Now get up or I’ll leave and make you walk to school too” I said and walk out.

As I was driving to school one of my favourite songs come on, Check yes Juliet by We The Kings. We both sang along to it.

We got out and went our separate ways.

I see Jaylee but people call her Jay, Jessica but people call her Jesse because she hates Jessica and Emma, we call her Ems. I walk over to them like I usually do.

“Hey, Jay and Jesse. Ems can I talk to you?” I ask innocently so she doesn’t know I know about her and Nick, my boyfriend. Well, soon ex-boyfriend.

“Yeah, sure Alex” we walk away from everyone so they don’t hear us but only see us but I might yell at her so they might hear anyway, but all well. “What’s up Alex?”

“Are you and Nick sleeping together?” I ask straight up. No need to beat around the bush.

“Alex, please let me explain, I’m so-,” she said but I cut her off.

“I don’t care about if you’re sorry or not. If you too wanted to be together that’s fine by me but you went behind my back, you are supposed to be my best friend, not the girl that sleeps with my boyfriend so as far as I’m concerned you are no one, you lying, backstabbing bitch” I said. I walked away but stopped and turned around “and by the way, you can have Nick, I sure as hell don’t want his sorry, good for nothing cheating ass. Just don’t come crying to me when he cheats on you too” and turned away from her. I hadn’t noticed everyone was staring at us until now. I wonder how much they heard. I walk back to my friends.

“You okay, Lex?” Jesse asked.

“Yeah, I’m great, actually,” I said with a smile on my face and for once I actually was.

“I don’t think she’s lying either,” Jay said.

“I’ve never lied to you too,” I said.

“Yay, it’s Jake, Luke, Tyler and Mason,” Jay said and Jesse turned and faced the same direction as Jay.

“Seriously,” I said “You guys do every time”

“But there so hot” Jay and Jesse said at the same time.

“So I’ve heard,” I said, rolling my eyes.

“Hey, Tyler’s my boyfriend, I’m allowed to do this,” Jay said.

“And Mason’s mine,” Jesse said.

“Hello Ladies, I’m sorry to hear about you and Nick, but that was a quite entertaining show you put on back there Alex,” Jake said smirking.

“I’m not, he’s an ass,” I said and all the boys chuckled and smirked.

“Your right he is and an idiot for cheating on you with Emma. I mean, if he was going to cheat he could have done it with someone hotter than you” Luke said smirking and the boys nodded and agreed.

“Flattery will get you nowhere Luke,” I said smirking.

“and where will it get me,” Jake said. Bloody hell, just leave me alone.

“Ignored,” I said and walked away.

Nick POV

“This can’t be happening,” I said.

“Now we can be together,” Emma said. That thought really makes me want to throw up.

“I don’t want you, I want Alex,” I said and walked away.

“Bastard” she screamed but I couldn’t care less.

When I got to class everyone started whispering. Great, they know. The teacher silenced them, thank god.

“Dude, what did you do?” one of my friends Jason said.

“Something very stupid” Brandon my other friend said.

“No shit Sherlock he cheated on Alex with Emma, that goes without saying” David my other friend in this class.

“Guys, not helping,” I said.

“Weren’t trying to Nick, you’re a fucking dickhead for cheating on Alex, you got the hottest and most popular girl in school and you cheated on her with a much less hot friend and even less in popularity” David said.

“Especially right now, Alex said she was no one to her,” Brandon said.

“Seriously, she said that?” I asked.

“Yep, she also called her a lying, backstabbing bitch, you a sorry, good for nothing cheating a** and said Emma can have you,” Jason said

“It was hilarious and Jake and all his friends went and comforted her” David said and they all agreed.

“Jake?” I said angrily. He’s always liked Alex, he’s just good at hiding it from her, that’s the reason we hate each other and he stole quarterback on the football team from me.

Lunch came around and when I walked in I saw Alex sitting all by herself, her friends mustn’t have gotten out of class yet. I walk up to her, here goes nothing.

Alex POV

I saw Nick walk up to me and the cafeteria was quieting down, oh no, go away, I hate you.

“Hey Alex,” Nick said nervously.

“Go away jackass,” I said.

“Alex, I’m sorry,” he said and he sounded genuine but I don’t care, how do you apologize for cheating.

“I so don’t care; you went behind my back. If you and Emma wanted to sleep together you could have broken up with me if you didn’t want me but you were too much of a coward to do it” I said and started to get up but he grabs my hand.

“I do want you,” he said and I dryly laughed.

“Then why did you sleep with Emma,” I said, pulled my arm out of his grip and walked away.

“Alex I’m sorry, I don’t like Emma” he yelled.

“Not my problem but that’s too bad for you” I yelled back.

William Elliott Kern: Long story, the plot uncovered midway through the story. From beginning, the story was fast moving. Then dragged on for quite some time.
