Chapter 16

Spencer's POV,

6 months later...

"Come on baby. You know you want me to stay." I could smell the whiskey on her breath.

"I told you already once, No!" I hissed out. The red-headed girl gave me one last look. I jumped up and took her by the arm, grabbing her purse and toss it and her out the door. I took a deep breath and laid back down. I could still hear her cussing down the hallway. I rolled over and fell asleep.

"Hey man, you need to move your ass. You have meetings all morning long." Josh said as he slammed his way into my bedroom. I just rolled my eyes and got out of the bed. "Oh by the way. This was on the doorstep." Josh said and handed me a small envelope. I took it and he left the room. I opened it and it was was only a couple of words on a ripped piece of paper.

If you love her, start paying attention... This is a warning.

That's all it said. I had no idea what it meant or who left it. Who the fuck was warning me. I started to get pissed off. "JOSH!" I yelled out. Within a few minutes, Josh came storming back in.

"What the hell man?" He said.

"Where did you find this?" I asked him.

"I told you it was left on the doorstep." He said

"So you didn't see who left it?" I asked him.

"No." He said.

"I think Page is in trouble," I said as I looked over the paper again and again.

Pages POV,

"You need to stop play around so much," I said as I punched Mathew in the arm. I covered myself with his bed sheet and ran off to the bathroom.

"Don't leave me hanging beautiful. I'll smack that pretty little ass of yours again." Mathew hollered out.

"Whatever Mat, I guess you'll just have to please yourself this morning. I've got things to do." I yelled back at him as I started the shower. I was brushing out my hair when he came into the bathroom.

"You suck." He said as he started the shower.

"And I'm good at it too. Otherwise, you wouldn't be having a fit over it." I said smiling at him in the mirror. He smiled back at me and got in the shower. "You're always wanting to make us late for school. I'm going to stop staying over on the weeknights if you don't behave yourself." I pulled my hair up in a ponytail as he stepped out of the shower.

"That's fine, I'll just stay at your place during the week then." He said. I just shook my head. Over the last six months, things in my life have changed. I'm doing so much better. Levi and I have become close friends and nothing more. Mathew and I have become very close. We are not an official couple or anything. I mean we might as well be considering we are always together, but we don't want the college upset with him so we keep it on the down low. That first month after meeting him we got hot and heavy fast. I don't know what it was about him, but we were like two caged animals that couldn't even have a normal conversation without it turning into something off of the discovery channel.

It's been six months now and we are still the same as were the very first time. I love every minute of it. It's not all sex. We do the normal boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. Movies, dinner, but then it always ends up in my bed or his. He keeps all my troubles away and I cling onto him for that. Maybe in the back of my head, I know that I'm using him in a way, but I won't let that stop me. I care a lot about Mathew and I don't really know where our future is, but I'm not trying to figure that out yet.

As for Levi and I., We have become so close that we both just agreed that friendship was more important to us. He is my other distraction in life. He helps to keep my demons away. In a much different way then Mathew. I hold them both dear to my heart and I will fight to keep it that way. I need them both and they are my anchor. They also get along very well together. They both know about each other, which only makes this so much easier on me.

I ran over and kissed Mathew on the lips as I hurried out the door and headed to school. I switched my schedule around. I dropped out of Mathews class because it was more of a flirt period than an actual learning session. We both agreed it was best. Now my first period was with Mr. Clark. A man who over the last six months has gained my respect. He is a good man and a great teacher. I agree with almost everything he does. Most of the girls drool over him, but he has been a very big help with my studies and I respect his professional manner. Besides he is married and talks about his wife constantly. He really loves her. about three months ago he posted needing a TA in his classroom. He takes his work very seriously and I ended up with the job. My fourth-period class is with him and I mostly grade papers and help him with his students. The only thing about Mr. Clark that I could live without is he likes to talk and ask questions about my life. Something I don't like to talk about. Trust me it's all very innocent. You know normal people conversion. I just choose to answer him in the most discrete way possible.

After school was over I headed back home. I had a date with Levi for dinner at the house and I didn't like to keep him waiting. I pulled up and when I got to my front door. I found a small envelope on the doormat. I bent down to pick it up. There was no name or address on the envelope. I turned it over and opened it up. There was a small piece of paper inside. I pulled it out and read it.

Hows your life princess? Watch your back...

I insistently felt sick to my stomach. I looked around my property. I felt like I was being watched. This was the first time I felt uncomfortable in my own home. I know it sounds stupid but I never lock anything out here. I got inside and locked the door behind me I ran all over my house like a mad woman locking everything up. I sat down on the couch and called Levi. I told him I needed him to come over right away that I didn't feel safe. He told me he was on his way. I would of called Mathew, but I haven't really been upfront about my past with him. As where Levi knew most of it. Once Levi arrived I showed him the note.

"Who would want to hurt you?" He asked me.

"I have no idea. I've never done anything to anyone." I said.

"This is weird Page, maybe we should call the police." He said. I thought about it for a moment.

"What could they actually do?" I asked him.

"Probable, not much, but at least it would be on recorded. In case anything did go down." He said. That thought scared me and I didn't even want to be here. I could go and stay with Mat, but then I would have to explain myself. I didn't want to do that. I could go stay with Levi, but then that meant interrupting his life. I didn't want to do that either. Looks like I'm stuck here for now.

"Maybe someone is just fucking around with me?" I said.

"Maybe, but what if not?" Levi said. He came over to the couch and sat next to me. "I don't want to leave you out here alone Page. I'm worried about you." He said. I smiled at him and rested my head on his shoulder. "Why don't you call Mathew and see if he will stay with you?" He asked me.

"I don't know how I would even explain this to him," I said. Levi looked at me funny.

"What do you mean?" he asked me.

"Well, I haven't really gone into details about my past with him," I said.

"So, we don't even know if this has anything to do with your past. You don't have to tell him anything except that you got this note and you don't want to be alone." Levi said. He made sense so I called Mathew and he came right over. Mathew and Levi were in deep conversation about the note while I was making dinner. Having them both there made me feel one hundred times better.

"Listen you two, we don't even know what this note means. It's probably someone just fucking around." I said. Both of them just looked at me.

"I still think it would be smart if you at least told the police about the note." Mathew said.

"Okay, so call them out here." I said and Levi pulled out his phone and gave them a call. It was around two hours before an officer showed up. We all showed him the note and he took down some information and told me I needed to go down to the station in the morning to fill out some more paper work. He told me there's not to much they can do considering I've got no clue who would even do something like this, but I figured as much. Levi left not much later after the officer left and Mat stayed with me.

"I'm glad you called me Page. I'll stay with you as long as you need me to." Mathew said. I smiled at him and wrapped my arms around him. We turned the lights off and went to bed.

Spencer's POV,

"Damn Spencer, she is amazing." Josh said. "Who are the guys?" He asked me.

"I've got no idea." I said to him. I could feel my blood start to boil when I watched the dick put his arms around her. I needed to know why the police were here and what was wrong, but I couldn't just go to her and ask. I stayed back far enough so no one would see us and I was going to keep it that way. I was also going to find out who these two men were that were with her. Especially the one who is still here.
