Chapter 24

The next morning I woke up early. Thank god I got an air conditioner in my room. It was so hot outside and the sun hadn't even fully come up yet. I slipped into my robe trying to be as quiet as possible. I left the room and headed down to the kitchen. I made a pot of coffee and a cup of hot tea. That's when I heard a noise that made me stop and look around. I didn't see anything, but I still felt a little uneasy. I sat my cup down and decided to have a look around the house. I knew I heard something and I was going to find out what.

I walked out to my living room and didn't see anything out of place. I took a walk down the hallway towards where Josh was sleeping. Three of the bedrooms were on the first floor. The other two bedrooms were up stairs. I didn't see anything in the hallway. I made my way over to the dinning room and where the doors open to my back porch. Still everything looked just fine. Well damn, I said to myself. I let it go and headed back into the kitchen. I heard the noise again. This time it made me jump. "What in the actual fuck!" I said out loud this time. I turned around fast only to see Josh make his way out of his room. He was rubbing his eyes. "What are you hollering about out here?" He asked me.

"Was that you making that noise?" I asked him.

"What noise." He said as he started to pour a cup of coffee. "I just got out of bed when I heard you yell." He said.

"I keep hearing a funny noise." I said. He looked at me for a moment.

"Did you look around?" He asked me. I nodded at him. "Did you find anything?" He asked me.

"No." I said.

"Well then everything is okay." He said and started to drink his coffee. I took a deep breath. After about an hour I started to make some breakfast. I think the smell started to bring Spencer around. Because he started to come down the stairs. Josh was busy in the living room watching the news.

"Hey baby, what are you cooking?" He asked me as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Pancakes and muffins." I said. He smiled at me and I went to open the back door. I started to set the table outside on my back porch. It was very hot out, but my porch was covered and there was a light breeze coming though that cooled it down. Spencer helped me and Josh made his way out to the porch. I brought out all the food and we all ate and talked about everything and nothing at all. "So tell me Josh. How long have you been friends with Spencer here?" I asked Josh.

"I've known Spencer since high school. We have always been very tight." He said. Spencer just smiled.

"It's good that you two have each other." I said. Josh started to play the imaginary violin. "Shut up." I said laughing as I smacked Josh in his arm. Spencer laughed. Spencer wanted to go out to dinner tonight for some alone time with me and Josh just decided to stay back here at the house. After I was dressed up and ready to go. I took a walk out front onto the porch waiting for Spencer. Josh was in the house fixing himself something for dinner. I walked off the porch and saw something in the woods around the house. I instantly remembered the night when I found my mothers body and I swear I was seeing it again. I took off running towards the thing in the woods. No, no this is not happening again. I think I'm going crazy. I said to myself as I ran out into the woods. I slipped on my high heels and fell to the ground.

I could hear Spencer's voice off in the distance behind me as I got back up and continued to go towards the object on the ground. My dress was ripped and I had lost a shoe. I started to feel the tears come down my face as I approached her body. There in front of me just like that night laid the body of my mother. How can this be? I said to myself. Only this time she looked beautiful. Nothing out of place. No flaws, no blood no nothing. What the hell was going on? Then I felt the sharp pain on the side of my head and everything went black.

Spencer's POV,

"Page! Page! Where are you?" I yelled out as I went onto the porch. I looked around and saw nothing. "Josh, I thought you said she came out here?" I hollered to him.

"She did man, she came in looking all sexy told me she would wait out front for you and then I watched her walk out." He said. I gave him a heated look.

"Keep your damn eyes to yourself." I said. "Well she is not out here." I pointed out.

"I don't know what to tell you. I just watched her go out there not five minutes before you did." Josh said. I felt a sting of fear and started to call out her name again.

"I'm telling you she is not out here. Search the house while I look around the yard." I snapped at him. Josh hurried back inside and I walked off the porch. "Page!" I kept yelling out. I saw something on the ground out in the woods and started to make way to it. Once I got to the object, I realized it was a red high heel. Pages red heel. I picked it up off the ground and took a look around. I hollered out her name again, but it was nothing but quite. There was nothing but trees all around and it was to dark to see much of anything else. I took off running back towards the house. Josh came back out the the porch.

"She is not in this house." He said. I showed him the shoe.

"Something has happened to her Josh. Where the hell is she?" I yelled. Josh just stood there with a worried look on his face. "Move out of my way I need my phone." I said, as I rushed past him. I ran into her room and found my phone. That's when I saw a piece of paper set on top of my suitcase. I picked it up and it said.

I'll be in touch with you soon darling. As for Page, your little slut. Well let's just say she don't have to much time. Sit tight my love I will be in touch soon. xoxo

I read the note over and over again. It was the same handwriting that was from the first note I received. "What the fuck!" I hollered out. Josh came running into the room. I pulled my phone out and made a call as I handed the note over to Josh.

"This is Spencer Allen. Put me in touch with Dimitri Frank immediately. This is an emergency!" I hollered into the phone. With in seconds I had him on the phone.

"I need your help, someone has taken my girl." I said.
