I heard a gun shot go off. My head was spinning so bad I didn't even know if it was me that shot. I closed my eyes and tried to focus. In front of me James laid not moving. I moved myself over to him and he had blood around him. I looked up at my mother smiling down at me. Then he came into view as he wrapped his arms around my mother and his lips went to hers. "Oh my god." I said. He turned and smiled at me. "No, no it can't be." I said out loud. "What? Why, what are you even doing here?" I hollered out. He bent down and came close to my face. I felt my tears running down. "How could you? You were my best friend Levi." I said. He cocked his head at me.
"But never good enough for you to love. Right?" He said.
"I do love you." I said. He just started to laugh. I was clearly losing my mind now. He stood up and went back to my mother's arms.
"If I can't have you Page. Then your mother is the next best thing." He said. I knew my mother was only using him. I still couldn't believe what I was seeing. Levi was everything to me, I confided in him about everything. He was my best friend and he turned out to be crazy. He never acted like he was upset or mad about us deciding to just be friends. I thought it was a mutual agreement.
"I never knew you felt that way Levi, but if you cared so much. Then why are you helping her hurt me?" I asked him.
"I did care, I was a mess actually. Then your mother came to me for help. She told me what you did Page and what a piece of shit person you really were." He said. "She told me why she did what she did because your a back stabbing husband thief." He said. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"Levi, I have never lied to you. Everything I have ever told you was the truth." I was pleading my heart out to him as I held onto my father's body on the ground. My tears wouldn't stop falling. My world was falling apart all around me. I was never going to get out of this. I was going to die by the hands of my mother. My heart was with Spencer and I was crushed as my father was dying in my arms and my best friend had a gun pointed at me. "She is poisoning your head with lies Levi." I said.
"Your the only poison here Page." He said as he kissed my mother deeply. She turned and gave me a huge smile. I just laid my head down on James and cried. Spencer knew all along not to trust anyone and here I was defending Levi to him. Why is everyone so fucked up? I said to myself.
"Do you have Brandy out there somewhere waiting to kill me to?" I snapped. I heard my mother laugh.
"That little bitch is too devoted to you Page. She would never help me." She said. I took a deep breath.
"Please just kill me and get it over with." I said. That's when we all heard a huge crash and banging going on outside of the room.
"Stay here with her." Levi said to my mother. He ran out of the room and closed the door behind him and locked it. My mother ran over to me and pulled me into the bathroom. I was covered in blood and I yelled out when she moved me so harshly. My body felt like it was burning up. I wrapped my arms around myself and laid down against the tub. I watched as my mother was pacing around the bathroom. We couldn't hear anything.
I kicked the front door down and then all of the men started to pile into the house. I ran around until I saw him come running down the stairs. "Spencer, is that you?" Levi said as he came into view. I pointed my gun at him.
"You better start talking before I shoot you Levi." I shouted. All of a sudden there were at least five different guns pointed at him. He put his hands up in defense.
"I was looking for Page." He said. I cocked my head at him and I knew something wasn't right. I had an overwhelming feeling he was full of shit.
"How did you know to come here?" I asked. It looked as though he was struggling with what to say. "Where the fuck is she Levi?" I yelled at him.
"Fuck you Spencer!" He yelled back. I didn't even think twice as I pulled the trigger and he fell to the ground screaming out. The men jumped on him and grabbed him. I took off though the house again.
"PAGE!" I hollered out as the house was huge and there were so many doors. I knew Josh was with me, following me. I found a door and it was locked, but it was locked from the outside. I unlocked it and there was a man laying on the ground in a puddle of blood around him. "PAGE!" I yelled out again. I heard a small scream coming from a door in the room. I kicked it in and what I saw made my blood boil. There in front of me was Page laying on the ground covered in blood and Bonnie had a gun to her head.
"In here!" Josh hollered out. My eyes went right to Page's eyes. She looked so broken and hurt. I then moved my eyes to Bonnie. She looked scared and I just kept my eyes on her.
"Let her go." I said.
"Not a chance lover." She said. Page just continued to cry. "I'm dead either way. I might as well take my daughter with me." She said. I felt the fear in my heart. She pressed the gun into Page's head. Page gave out a little cry. I took a deep breath. Men started to fill the room and there were so many guns pointed at Bonnie. I put my hands up.
"What do you want?" I asked her.
"A way out." She said. I knew in the back of my head that there was no way Bonnie was getting out of this house alive. What I didn't know was if Page would or not. My heart was going a million miles an hour.
"Let her go and we will let you go." I said, trying to sound calm. Bonnie eyes darted around the room.
"I never knew you had so many friends Spencer." She said. "Tell your men to stand down or I will shoot her in the head." She said.
"I can't do that Bonnie, I'm not their boss. You let her go and they will stand down." I said. I knew she wasn't going to fall for this. The man standing next to me lowered his gun and shot. Bonnie's gun went off. My eyes closed as I knew Page was gone. I opened my eyes to Page trying to move herself closer to me. Bonnie laid on the ground holding her leg crying out. The men ran into the room and took a hold of her. They taped her mouth shut and I ran over to Page. "It's okay baby, this is over." I said. I went to pick her up and she screamed out.
"My ribs are broken." She said in a small voice. I picked her up gently bridle style and held her close to me. "Spencer, is the man in the room dead?" She asked me as I started to make my way out of this house.
"I don't know baby, but your friend Levi is dead." I said as I watched her eyes close. "Page, Page baby?" I said. I rushed down and jumped into one of the SUV's. The driver looked at me. I told him to take us to the hospital right away.
I could hear some voices and my heart started to race as I tried to sit up and the pain was to much. I didn't know if what happened was a dream or not. I didn't know if Spencer actually saved me or not. My eyes were still closed as I felt someone touch my arm. I tried to remain calm as I opened my eyes. Spencer was next to me and I looked around the room to discover I was in a hospital. I took a deep breath as a doctor came over and took a look at me. I kept my eyes on Spencer. "It's all over now baby." He said. The doctor left the room and it was only me and Spencer.
"What happened?" I asked him. He grabbed a chair and took a seat next to me.
"I'm so sorry Page. I didn't know it was her. Please forgive me." He said. I started to shake my head.
"No Spencer don't be sorry. This is not your fault. She is crazy." I said.
"You are something else you know that?" He said. He looked so tired and stressed out.
"Tell me Spencer, where is my mother and father and Levi?" I asked. He looked up at me.
"Your father?" He asked. I nodded at him.
"The man in the room was my real father." I said. Spencer stood up and came to my side.
"He is gone baby." He said while holding my hand. I felt sad and turned my head.
"He tried to help me." I said. Spencer took a deep breath.
"Your mother is still breathing at the moment." He said. I shot him a look. "But not for much longer." He said. I took a deep breath and didn't question him.
"And Levi?" I asked.
"He is dead." Spencer said.
