I was standing in the lobby of my building when Page’s friend Abby came running in. I looked over at her as she ran towards the elevator. “Is that Page’s friend Abby?” I asked Josh. He looked over towards her.
“I think so.” He said. “ABBY!” Josh hollered out. She turned and looked at both of us. Her eyes were red and she came running over to us. She was completely out of breath.
“I don’t have a number for you.” She tried to say as she grabbed my arms.
“Abby, where’s Page?” I said sternly. She tried to calm down.
“They took her.” She said.
“Who took her?” I asked her. She was crying and I was having a hard time calming her down.
“Abby look at me,” Josh said as he took her by the shoulders and sat her down. “I need you to relax and tell us what’s going on. She tried to take a deep breath.
“Aiden was found shot in the parking lot of school. Before he was taken off to the hospital he said they took Page.” She said slowly.
“Who fucking took her Abby?” I hollered.
“I don’t know. The minute he said that I tried to find you. I don’t even know how Aiden is doing.” She said. “This is your fault, Spencer. Aidne and Page could both be dead.” She said and it hit me all the way to my heart. She started to cry again. Josh put his arms around her and I started to feel faint.
“We need to get to the hospital right away,” Josh said. I snapped out of it and called the driver. The three of us road in silence till we got to the hospital. We got there and Abby took off to the desk, asking about Aiden. They told us what floor and when we got there we were meet with all of Pages friends. Abby ran into a guys arms. Everyone looked really upset, but all I cared about was talking to this Aiden guy. Josh and I walked up to them.
“Abby, I need to see Aiden,” I said.
“You can’t he is in surgery right now.” The guy with his arms around Abby said.
“And you are?” I asked him.
“Sorry man my name is Seth, this is Christina.” He said.
“Do you guys know anything about Page?” I asked. They both shook their heads no. I took a deep breath and looked at Josh.
“We have to wait, man,” Josh said. I asked Josh to make some calls. He walked off and I let Abby tell them who I was and what Page and I were to each other. Then we all just waited.
“Where is Aiden’s family?” I asked Abby.
“He has only us.” She said. About an hour later the doctor came out to us.
“Okay, guys here’s what’s going on. Aiden suffered a bullet to his right lung. He is doing okay right now, but we lost him once on the table. He is in recovery, but he is unable to talk right now. I suggest you all take this time to go home and get some rest.” The doctor said.
“Excuse me Doctor, but I need to see him. My girlfriend was kidnapped when he was shot.” I said. He looked over to me.
“It won’t do you any good sir. He is not even awake.” He said. That’s when the police show up. They came over and started to ask us questions we couldn’t answer. This wasn’t going over well and I had no answers what so ever. Josh came over to me letting me know everyone had been notified and we needed to head back to the house.
“Abby I need you to call me as soon as he wakes up,” I said as I gave her my cell number. “Page’s life could depend on it,” I said. She wrapped her arms around me for a hug.
“I’m sorry I said what I said. I didn’t mean it.” She said.
“It’s okay, this is my fault,” I said. “You just stay here and call me as soon as you can,” I said. She agreed and Josh and I headed back to my house. Once we got there I was greeted with Dimitri and some of his men.
"If you keep losing your girl your never going to have her." He said to me. My head just fell.
"This is why I tried to be without her in the first place. I have no ideas, no clues, no nothing right now." I said to him feeling completely defeated. It has to be Richard and his men." I said.
"Richard is the man you just went up against in court?" He asked me.
"Yes, I put his son in prison," I said. Dimitri just shook his head.
"Well my company did, but you know how this works. He would be the only threat against me that I know of at this moment, but how he even knows anything about Page is beyond me right now." I said. We haven't even gone public yet." I said. Dimitri laughed. "This is not funny," I said.
"No, your right it's not funny, but for you to stand there and think it is impossible for anyone to find out about you and Page. You're crazier then I thought. These people are gangs and mafia Spencer. They can do whatever they please. They can find out anything. You should know that, but you have to stop blaming yourself for trying to live your life. You love her and that's what matters. This time is different though. I'm one hundred percent sure they want blood this time. It's not some dumb family thing. They want you dead." He said and I knew it was true. This wasn't going to end well.
Two days have gone by and Aiden still hadn't woken up. We had all went to the school parking lot hoping to find anything, but all we got was Page's car. The police have been trying to help, but I don't need them. By law, I have to deal with them, but behind the scens, I had the best men on this. I would have thought that I would have heard from someone by now about Page and what these peoples demands were, but so far nothing. For all, I knew she was already dead and I would have her delivered to me.
My phone started to go off. I saw that it was Abby. I answered it right away and she told me Aiden was awake. We dropped everything and headed off to the hospital. I got to Aiden's room and Dimitri and I walked into his room. Abby was sitting next to him and the other two were standing. Aiden looked ruff and not happy at all. He looked over at me. "If she is dead, I'll kill you." He said. I took a deep breath.
