Chapter 38

Spencer's POV,

Ring, ring. I picked up my phone. It was an unknown number. "This is Spencer Allan."

"Spencer son it's good to hear your voice." I knew who was on the other line right away.

"What can I do for you, Richard?" I simply said.

"Well, I've got someone with me I think you would like to see." He said

"What do you want? She had better not be hurt." I said.

"Come on Spencer you know me better than that. I don't hurt women. Especially a beautiful one like her. I have to say she is quite a little vixen." He said.

"I swear to god Richard I'll kill you myself," I yelled.

"Calm down son. Look this is what is going to go down. We will keep this professional. I would like for you to join me for dinner at my home. Bring whoever you would like. You will get to see that Page is being well taken care of. We can discuss what it is I want from you in person. These are my terms take them or leave them, but keep in mind. If you choose not to come here you will choose not to have Page back." He said. What other choice did I have? I just happened to be sitting with Aiden when the phone call came in. I had to tell everyone what was going on. Aiden insisted on coming along. We all told him he was crazy and couldn't leave the hospital. He didn't care as he got himself out of the bed and almost fell over.

The dinner was set for two nights away. We got Aiden all drugged up so he could semi act normal. He looked like shit and I was concerned for his well being. Besides the fact that he would be no help. Josh decided to come along. Dimitri could not be seen. He and his men would stay outside of the property with his men. I knew I was more than likely stepping into a trap and Dimitri advised me not to go, but I didn't have any other choice. I would give my life for her and I knew it would come down to that. I just needed to make sure she would come out alive and free. I told everyone their number one priority was Page at all cost.

My driver picked us up and took us to the outskirts of the city to Richards mansion. We dressed nicely as that what was asked of us. We were greeted by some of Richards men and taken to the dining room. After we were seated I looked over to my left as my girl was in the arms of Richard. She looked scared and all I wanted to do was go to her, but I knew I couldn't do that. She stayed by Richards side and didn't say a word. I could see the pain in her eyes, but she looked unharmed. After dinner, Richard wanted to talk in his office. Richard and Page went inside first. The men who stood at the door would only allow me to go in Aiden and Josh had to stay outside and wait for me. I knew what was coming.

Page's POV,

"You promised me no one would get hurt. I did as you told me and you still hurt him." I cried out.

"I'm sorry Page, I shouldn't have allowed you to be in here, but you both need to know just how serious I am," Richard said.

"Please, sir please let me go check on him," I begged him. He looked at me for a moment.

"I'm not a bad man Page. I'll let you see him." He said. He reached out for my hand and I took his. We walked out the door and Aiden and Josh were at Spencer's side as he was trying to stand. I let go of Richard and started to run to Spencer. Two of Richards men grabbed me and Richard told them to let me go. I ran over to Spencer and took him in my arms.

"I'm so sorry baby." He said in my ear.

"Please don't be," I said back to him.

"This is all my fault. I promise to get you out of this." He said. My hands were all over his body trying to check on him.

"I'm sorry they hurt you. He told me he wasn't going to hurt you." I said.

"Don't worry about that now." He said. I was crying so hard I could barely see him. He was messed up bad with blood coming from his mouth. I tried to wipe it away. I just gave up and wrapped my arms around him. I just wanted him to hold me. "I love you." I heard him say and then he blacked out. Richards men took me away from him and I lost my mind. I started to scream and kick and punch at anything I could. Just to get back to Spencer. One of the men tossed me over his shoulders like a bag of potatoes and I watched as Josh and Aiden helped to get Spencer out of here. I gave up and went limp. I was tossed onto my bed and left in the room. I curled into a ball and cried.

I opened my eyes to the sun pouring into my room. I had fallen asleep and was still in this dress Richard made me wear. I got up and went into the bathroom. I looked horrible my makeup was all over my face and my hair was a huge ball of tangles. I jumped into the shower and found some shorts and a top to slip into. I curled myself in the window seat and just stared out the window. A small woman came into my room and brought me some food, but I just let it sit there and didn't move from the window. By the time night fell I hadn't eaten and I was refusing to move from my spot. "I'm told you won't move or eat." I heard Richard say as he came into my room. I didn't even look over at him. He came and took a seat on the bed close to me. "Page, I'm not a bad guy, but your Spencer is a very bad man. I don't think you truly know who he is." He said. I turned my head towards him.

"What do you mean?" I asked him. He took a deep breath.

"I'm no saint Page, I will admit to that, but what do you call a man who fights for the bad guy and then puts other bad guys away?" He said. "I call him two-faced and a bitch." He said. "He chooses the most powerful and rich men to represent." He said as he looked at me. "My son has done no better than the men he works for, yet my son now sits in prison because his company is to good at what they do. He is a hypocrite and a very dirty man. His father was the same way." Richard explained. I took all his words into consideration. Because what he was saying was true. It was exactly what Spencer did, but I can't help who I love.

"I love him and I can't help it," I said as I looked back out the window. "I'm sorry he did what he did to your son," I said.

"As much as I want to kill Spencer. If he gets my son out and back to me. I promise you I will give you back to him." He said. I had a hard time believing him, but I had nothing else to hold onto. "Please eat something Page." He said. "I knew the minute I met you that you were not just one of his whores. I knew you were different and I don't understand how he ended up with you. I'm sorry I had to pull you into this, but I needed to do it. He would do the same if it was the other way around. My son means the world to me Page and I hope you will understand that one day." He said. The man sounded so sincere when he spoke. It was hard not to believe him. I almost felt sorry for him. Plus he has not hurt me. I took a deep breath and removed myself from the window. I went over to the tray of food and started to eat. "That's a good girl, thank you." He said as he left the room.
