Sometimes you just can't help yourself.-Quote
I opened my eyes and looked to my sides. The two people I hated the most in this world, laid sleeping next to me. It was so easy to just get a knife and kill them both, but I couldn't. I could take my bare hands and take both of their lives right now, but I couldn't. It has been almost a year and no matter how much I let them know I don't care about them, they still won't let me go. She is the first thing I think about when I open my eyes in the morning. She is the last thing on my mind when I go to sleep at night. I missed her so much.
"Yes mother, I know how to run this house without you." I said as my mother and father rushed out to the car to catch their flight. "It's not like I've never been left here alone before." I said.
"Yes, I know. But we're going to be gone almost a month. I just want to make sure you'll be alright." I just shook my head. For crying out loud. I said to myself.
"It's not like I'll be alone. I've got this tumor right here to keep me company." I said looking over to Leo, stuffing his face with chips.
"What? Me?" He said. I just smiled and shook my head. My mother kissed me again and got in the car with my father. I waved to them as they took off. Leo was already back inside the house.
The sky was covered in clouds and threatening to rain. The wind was pretty bad and I felt like a storm was on it's way. I walked inside and found Leo laying on the couch watching television. "Do you have to work tonight?" I asked him.
"So far, no." He said. "Why? Are you worried about the storm coming in?" I turned and looked at him.
"What storm?" I asked.
"The TV just said that we have a big one on it's way." I took a deep breath.
"No, I'm a big girl. Storms don't scare me. Actually, I love them." I said to him.
"I can go if you want me to." He said, smiling.
"That's up to you big boy." I said, as I walked into the kitchen, knowing he wouldn't leave. I heard the thunder start to roll outside. I hoped my parents would be able to make their trip. They have been planning on a trip out to Seattle for months now.
I walked back out to the living room to find Leo looking for a movie to watch. "So, what will it be? Horror, comedy, romance?" Leo said, while flipping through the movies on Netflix. I yawned.
"I don't care. You pick it, and not the damn notebook again. You sap." I said. He just smiled.
"It's your fault I like that damn movie." He said.
"Your the one who cried like a baby at the end." I said giggling.
"I promise you, that if you tell anyone I'll kill you and cut up your body." He said. I just rolled my eyes at him and smiled.
It was starting to get dark and the storm was at full rage outside. Leo decided to just stay the night. It was really bad outside and I didn't want him out there in it. I decided to just make us up some dinner. While he started to look for something else for us to watch. I just threw together a small chicken stir fry and grabbed a couple of cokes. I walked back out to the living room and sat beside Leo. "Did you find something for us to watch?" I asked as I handed him his food.
"Yeah, thanks." He said. The movie started to play and we ate in silence. The thunder and rain raged on. I've always been a big fan of storms. They were calming to me. Leo on the other hand seemed to be a little on edge.
All of a sudden lightening crashed and lit the whole house up. The power flickered for a moment and then went out. I felt Leo jump and kind of giggled. "You big chicken." I said.
"Shut up, what are we going to do now?" He asked.
"If you give me a moment I'll start a fire." I said. I grabbed my phone and turned on the flash light. Leo was still standing up looking like a frightened little boy. I smiled and told him to just sit back down. He did and I went to the garage and grabbed some wood. I came back and got a fire going in the fire place. "At least I know how you handle a crisis." I said. He just smiled at me.
"Whatever." He said. I got up and had a seat back next to Leo.
"Well now what are we going to do? It's to early to just go to bed." I said. Leo just sat there quietly watching the fire. "Leo?" I said. He turned and looked at me. I kept my eyes on his. "Leo? What's wrong?" I asked him.
"I think that I'm going to be gone for some time." He said. I sat up.
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"There's a lot of work that needs to be done and I've got to be the one in charge of it. This means I'll be gone for a while." He said. I watched him as the light from the fire flickered all over his face.
"For how long?" I asked.
"It's a pretty big job. I'm not sure how long it's going to take." He said.
"So what does that mean, like I'm not going to see you at all, while your doing this job that could take weeks or maybe even longer?" I said, realizing my voice was louder than normal. He watched me, with a confused look on his face.
"Why are you so worried about it Beth?" He asked me.
I was a little upset that he would even ask me that. "Oh I don't know, maybe because you have only been here everyday and every hour and now your just going to go away." I said, sounding upset. I watched him take a deep breath.
"I've got a job to do Beth, I can't just keep pushing it off to be here with you." He said. That hurt my feelings. I stood up feeling confused. On one hand I knew he was right, but the selfish side of me was upset.
"Fine, then just disappear like everyone else." I said and started to leave the living room. He grabbed me by the arm and turned me to face him.
"Why are you acting like this?" He asked me.
"Stop it Leo, let me go." I said. He let go of me immediately. I just looked at him. I started to turn back around.
"Beth!" He yelled and I stopped. He came up behind me very close. "Beth, why are you so upset." He said, right by my ear.
"Because, your my rock and I need you near me." I whispered. I stayed still and he didn't move a muscle. I felt his hand run down my arm. I closed my eyes. He turned me around to face him. He bent down and his lips touched mine. For a moment, just for a moment, I lost myself in his kiss. Then Dante came into my mind. I took a step back and touched my lips with my fingers.
"What's wrong?" Leo asked me.
"I.. I'm sorry Leo." I said. He looked at me and even though it was dark in the house, I could see the anger on his face.
"It's because of him isn't it?" He said. I stayed quiet. "Are you fucking kidding me Beth, it's been a year! He is not coming back! He chose her over you! Don't you see that!" Leo hollered. This was the first time I had ever seen him this upset.
All I could do at that moment was close my eyes. "I can't even believe you." He said. He started to head back to the living room. I followed him and he went to grab his jacket and the rest of his stuff.
"Where are you going?" I said.
"Anywhere but here." He replied.
"But you can't, it's crazy out there." I said trying to go to him. He stepped away from me.
"It's better out there than it is in here." He snapped. I reached out for his arm.
"No Leo, please don't go out in this weather." I said, pleading with him.
"What the fuck do you care?" He spit out. I just looked at him. "That's what I thought." He said and pulled his arms away from me and headed out the front door. The wind was so bad it slammed the door against the wall.
The rain was coming down in buckets and you could barely see. I followed him outside and was instantly soaking wet. "LEO." I called out.
"Go back inside Beth." He yelled.
"I'm not going inside till you come with me." I hollered back at him. He kept walking away from me and I started to run after him. That's when my foot went out from under me and I started to fall, but I didn't hit the ground. Leo was at my side and grabbed a hold of me before I hit the ground. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held onto him for dear life. His lips found mine again, but this time I kissed him back. I knew what I was doing was wrong, but not because I felt like I was betraying Dante, but because I felt like I was betraying Leo. I was so lost and the touch of someone was something I was craving. He pushed us up against the house and our kiss became heated. My whole body was on fire, but my heart was screaming at me to stop.
I ignored my heart and both of our hands were all over each other's bodies. We were both soaking wet and we didn't seem to care. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around him. He carried me back inside the house and slammed the door behind us. I pulled at my wet tee shirt and got it off and tossed it on the floor. He laid me down on the couch and stayed on top of me. Our lips still locked together. He sat up long enough to pull his shirt off and came back crashing against my lips. I fought to get his pants undone. I pulled them down and our lips still didn't come apart. He started to kiss down my neck and down my chest. His hands found the top of my sweat pants and he pulled them off of me in a flash. Everything was happening so fast, like two crazy hungry animals. I laid there in my bra and panties. Leo was still kissing me all over my body. I moaned out and he growled along with me.
Dante kept trying to enter my thoughts, but I just kept pushing them away till all I could see was Leo. He was kissing my neck and going back and forth from my lips to my neck. He was driving me crazy. I felt his hand reach down to my panties. I knew I was wet and wanted his fingers inside of me. He slipped past my panties and found my wet folds. His fingers moved past till they were on my clit. My hips bucked against him. He growled out in appreciation as I moaned out.
Then he moved his fingers down my slit and pushed them inside of me. I gripped a hold of his back and lost it. I came hard and fast. I moved away from him and flipped him over. I pulled his boxers off of him. His hard cock sprang up and I looked into his eyes as I climbed on top of him. I placed him inside me and held on to him and the couch as I started to ride him fast. I needed more and he placed his hands on my hips. His face was lost to complete pleasure. I could feel my orgasm building up inside of me again. His body started to shake as he pulled himself up close to me. We were still moving fast as our chest were together. His arms wrapped around my body and mine were wrapped around his.
He hollered out as his orgasm hit him hard. My body let go all around him and we started to slow down. We held each other for a moment before he stood up taking me with him. I was in his arms as he walked us up to my bedroom. I knew this night wasn't over, as he slammed my bedroom door closed behind us.
